I don't think age is necessarily the issue. I have tossed all my glosses because they just don't last on the lips.  My super creamy lipsticks sit unused.  I've been using matte and liquid lipsticks.  They last much longer and I don't spend the day reapplying.

Another gloss trick....put your gloss on first then your lipstick. Mixes them together nicely and gives a nice glow and cuts the high shine.

I will try this.

I am in my mid 50s, and I still wear gloss - sometimes alone, sometimes over my lipstick. I never wear lipstick by itself - looks too flat and matte to me.

I use this over Covergirl Outlast lipstain. That way I have some color even when the balm wears off. I usually only use the stain once (when I put my makeup on in the morning), and I'm good to go. I just apply the balm as needed. The balm leaves some moisture behind even after it wears off, at least on me.

Just my luck!  I did a quick search and it looks like this product is getting hard to find.  I wonder if it's headed towards Discontinued Land...

Oh no! It's been around for years. I haven't bought any in a while, as it lasts me a very long time, so I haven't checked. I guess any lipstain would do, but I had my perfect color in the CG--Cinnamon Kiss #445! Guess the search will be on next time I need some stain. Woman Sad

I checked out the lip tint/lip stain page on Ulta's site and they're all a little pricey for me.

I saw a $4 e.l.f. product but I wonder if it exists in stores.  The search continues...

I am am really really really old.  And just try to get my lip gloss away for me!  And that goes for anything else I want to and do wear.  My choice, I earned it.  And I might add as long as I am paying the bill I will wear what I want.

I would like to thank all of you lovely ladies who responded to my question about lip gloss.   Like most of you, I will still continue to wear my gloss.   I've been a make-up junkie for a most of my life.   I'll go to my grave kicking and screaming while holding on to my lipstick and blush. Lol!
