LOL, I did this one time by accident with a small styrofoam cup as a teenager. It really works! It's the suction that does it.

I mindlessly stuck an empty cup over my mouth and chin one day and just sat there watching TV holding the cup on by suction and when I finally dropped it, my lips looked just like that, LOL.

Suffice it to say I had the same reaction as the girl in the youtube video in the OP's post, i.e. completely freaked out. My mother was rather alarmed too as I recall.

This was long before lip injections were popular, and the last thing I wanted was to run around looking that! I already had pretty full lips anyway but they looked totally insane after I sucked on that cup for awhile.

I remember being SO scared they would stay like that. But in a few hours, they were down. I never did that again.

Your story reminded me of a very similar incident from my youth. I was also watching TV, and mindlessly holding a metal glass over my mouth and chin, with suction. I would put it on, and my girlfriend would pull on it till she could break the suction. My mom came into the room and noticed the result, and when I looked in the mirror to see, my chin was covered with black, blue and red marks. I guess I had broken the blood vessels in my chin, but thank goodness, it didn't affect my lips. The next morning the discoloration was still there. I was embarrassed to have anyone see me that way, and I asked if I could stay home from school, but they made me go.
