No as it interferes with blood thinners (often prescribed after a heart attack).

The only supplements I take are checked out with my cardiologist, who said heart patients need to be exceptionally careful with them as they often do more harm than good @monicakm .

Thank you so much!  I guess this is something I'm going to really have to watch.  I'll add it to my followup notes with my surgeon.

@monicakm , do you also have a cardiologist too? I have both an interventionist and a cardiologist. The cardiologist you usually see four times a year the first year. If you are on aspirin, Brilinta or Plavix, you need to be careful. Some blood pressure drugs you should not drink grapefruit juice too.

In May of this year I purchased a bottle of Lion's Mane, as I understood it helped with keeping the brain cells in good condition. Although I don't have Parkinson's disease or depression, I read many places where Lion's Mane is good for those issues, prevention and improvement of those conditions. Mainly I wanted it because it is supposed to benefit the immune health.

I started using it for about one week and something just didn't feel right, mainly in the head area. I was somewhat dizzy. I stopped for a few days and then tried again, but the same feeling came back. I have put the bottle aside for now.

Perhaps I'll try again sometime, as it seems to have many benefits as I get older. Could be just the brand I used or it is interfering with supplements I am already taking.

I grew it earlier this year.  It was fun to grow and pretty, but I didn't care for it.  As far as a supplement, I haven't had any inclination to take it, but if it interferes with blood thinners, I would be concerned that it might also increase the probability of blood clots.  I don't take blood thinners, but I do have a genetic propensity to clot more than the average population, so I'll pass.

So many You Tubers are endorsing this product lately.  I admit I was interested in it but I will check it out more.

Yes, I have a cardiologist too.  I don't believe I've ever heard of an interventionist.  Did you mean Internist?  I'm on a blood thinner but I think I can get off of it at some point and then take a baby asprin??  My followup isn't until Dec 1.

I'm not going to take it right now but will ask my Dr about it in Dec.  I've often been told I have thick blood.

You Tube may have been where I heard about it.  I can't remember.  I do watch a couple of natural and chiropractic type medicines on YT.
