Years ago I used Smashbox gel liner that came in the little pot and applied it with the angled- brush. Looked good and stayed on pretty long. Holly Mordini was the SB rep back then and she made me buy it. Smiley Very Happy Only problem was is the pots would dry out so fast making them useless. Quit buying them after a while. Now I wear an inexpensive pencil liner...Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil in smokey color. It's okay but it does smudge a bit from your rim so it looks somewhat "smoked out"...which is not a bad look for me. I also like putting on my upper rim and right in the lash line.

@SilleeMeeHolly made me buy that brush and pot as well, LOL. She's the one who started off in lining my inner rim.  I eventually went to a Clinic gel pot in black for my upper line, and tightlining my lashes.  I also use Jordana pencil when I am adding color.  My last trip to Macy's to pick up a Clinic, they kept me waiting so long I walked out and bought a Maybelline gel pot from the drugstore (in black) which wasn't bad.

Do the math.

Bobbi Brown's gel liner:

Reviews are fantastic! Price is reasonable...if it doesn't dry out.

Anyone use this on their inner rims?

Re: Lining The Inside Of The Eye

I love the look and used to do it but ended up with an eye infection. Dr said I had the stuff caked on my eyeball, I had to stop doing it but sure missed how my eyes looked.

My opthamalogist told me never to that. So I don't.

Re: Lining The Inside Of The Eye

My eyes are very sensitive so I have never done this. I also prefer a more natural eye makeup look so I only line the outer top lid with a dark brown pencil.

Re: Lining The Inside Of The Eye

I LOVE this look! It looks great on me for 10 whole minutes. Then, when I get to work, it has all watered off, gathering into a goopy ball somewhere other than where I had just put it. I may try it with a couple of the MU pencils recommended here, to see if a different one works better. (or...works.)

Re: Lining The Inside Of The Eye

I line the inner rim of my eyes on both top and bottom.  When I was younger I only did the bottom, but now I do both.  Have been doing so since my teens.  I used to use the Maybelline black liner pencil and burn the tip - LOL.  Now I use a gel liner pencil.  I always use black - I don't wear mascara and it doesn't look harsh on me at all.  If I really want my eyes to pop I put on mascara too.  Otherwise, I wear very minimal make-up.  Eye liner (inner rims only), BB cream, brow and lips - done.
