 @Shanus.....I have a beauty question.  I don't wear much eye make up, mascara and and liner only....I have eyes like my grandma...red....makes me look ill and older....yes, I regularly see the eye doctor and yes I do have a condition that makes my eyes blood shot, but can control that with rx drops....with that being said the rims are always red...morning, afternoon and evening.  I need a pencil that is not white but more of a flesh color that might help to mask the red rims...any suggestions.

I have looked but all pencils I see are pure white....

thanks!

@Mom2Dogs

When I am tired or have allergies or lack of sleep this trick really helps brighten eyes!

I have a Marc Jacobs (at Sephora) Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel eye crayon eyeliner, very tiny automatic point (no sharpening) in Nude.  It is a rich creamy shade and works wonders, goes on so easily and lasts on eyes well.  Really wakes eyes up but doesn't stand out or look weird.

Also have used the NYX (Ulta, Walgreen's, etc.) Wonder Pencil in Light/Clair, very nice for lots of uses on eyes and face, around lip, etc.

You need to sharpen it, but it is also the right color and comes in several shades, none are white.

Finally I did have an assortment of Smashbox eyeliner pencils and one was a cream color and that worked ok, but sometimes irritated my eyes where the others didn't.

I like the Marc Jacobs one the best.

@Mom2Dogs

omg I could have started this exact same thread! In, fact, I almost wrote one this morning but decided to look around for a product first. I ran across a retractable pencil that says it's made just for the rims. It's called City Color Inner Rim Auto Eye Liner and it's a light nude color. I ordered it from ebay but it's also sold on their website. I have chronic red eyes and my rims are always red. Makes me look tired or stoned.Woman LOL I'm always lining my rims with pencils to cover the redness with a dark color, for instance blue, black or dark brown. But I want to try something to make my eyes look wider and brighter, not closed in with a dark liner. I just ordered that pencil today so I'll post my review here after I try it on. Got my fingers crossed!Woman Happy

ETA- I was even gonna give a holler to @Shanus  just like you did!

CITY COLOR Retractable Pencil - $4-$6 - reviews look good

@SilleeMee Well I never thought that maybe I looked stoned, ha, ha....!!

I will be interested to hear how you like the pencil.  I swear I tried finding something but I guess I did not look hard enough based on the replies, thanks!

@Janey2  I hope you don't mind me asking but how do you remove the waterproof eye liner when it is inside your upper rim?

Please think twice before you take an eyeliner to the inner rims of your eyelids.

I used to line the inner rim of my lower lids on days when I thought I looked especially tired until I developed a raging case of iritis. (infection of the iris) The pain was unbelievable!

The ophthalmologist who treated me said over the past few years he has seen an increasing number of women with iritis which is directly attributable to the transfer of bacteria from the eyeliner to the eye.  He gave me some information about the infection which said this transfer of bacteria can occur regardless of the cleanliness of your hands or the cosmetic.

OP, VERY unsanitary using a waterline eyeliner. Especially if you already have problems with your eyes. Stay clear, these are your eyes remember, the only two you'll ever have.
