Letting skin breathe at night

Someone posted on a thread about ivory soap that they felt it was good to let skin breathe at night and not put anything on it. It made me think about how horrible my skin feels when I wake up in the morning, like my skin has been fighting to get the oil out. I decided to only use a liquid toner after cleansing and an eye cream and boy does my skin look better already. I think this is a great idea to let skin breathe and I'm going to keep it up. (It will also save me money.) I have been using aquaphor to remove my makeup (my holy grail) and then cleansing with Panoxyl 10% foaming face wash (a new holy grail, wow does this keep my skin clear and breakout free) or Paula's choice skin balancing cleanser. Then I either apply Paula's 2% BHA liquid or her new resist toner.

Then in the morning I use my regular skin care and makeup.
