No way I don't want to see how old I really am. LOL I'll keep Clairol in business till I'm planted

My aunt started going gray in her 20s and was totally gray by 32. I learned at an early age that gray hair does not equal age or being old.

I tried and went back. It wasn't really the color, but the texture of the gray that didn't work for me. I did not, however, go back to double processing. My hairdresser just foils blonde over the gray so it's kind of both colors blended.

There is a reason that it is called "prematurely gray". Gray hair usually occurs as we age.

I think a big mistake ladies make sometimes when trying to return to their natural color, be it grey or white, is that they don't give themselves enough time to get used to it. I almost made that mistake myself, but would need to use temporary color, as permanent dyes aren't an option for me. I'm highly allergic to something in them, and found that out the hard way...

I love my hair now! I also grew it out from a cut like Mia Farrow's super short style, to long hair a few inches from the band of my bra. It's in great condition just using drugstore products. I hope you can use some of the great advice posted by everyone here. pinky

There was a big thread on this. I color my hair. I don't have a lot of gray (front a little) I would never let it go natural. Very few women look good with all grey. It ages them imo. Then they chop all their hair off too. I love long hair.

I've been growing my hair out to natural for the last year. I have very delicate, fine, naturally curly hair, ash brown/blonde; shot threw with gray and a noticeable streak in front. My hair is so much more healthy and thicker since not coloring, to the point I don't even need a conditioner now, and I wash my hair daily. But - I hate that gray streak. I've been using Roux Fanci-Full color mousse in Frivolous Fawn every morning. Only takes a minute. Looks great. No damage to my hair. I can't tell you how much better I look with the gray streak away from my face.

I get my hair cut & colored every 6 weeks, it's expensive but not a bother and I can afford to do it. I'm 60 years old and just don't want to go gray yet, I feel that I'll know when I'm ready to go gray, until then, I'll continue to color my hair. To each their own.

I colored my hair for years but had always wondered what it would look like if I just let it grow out naturally. Well, in the summer of 2013 I got my chance to find out when chemo took all of my hair. I was one of the lucky ones whose hair grew back the same way it had been pre-chemo, thick and curly...the only change was in the color which, as it turned out, was an enviable mix of salt and pepper, perfect if I do say so myself. I was a very happy camper indeed. Fast forward to this winter when, for the second time, chemo has robbed me of my beautiful hair but I'm hopeful I'll be as lucky the second time around as I was the first - hopeful that my hair comes in thick and curly once again. Some people say grey hair ages you but look old or feel old, who cares...bring on the birthdays is what I say.
