Letter from QVC about Josie Maran pink algae serum

What do you think about the letter from QVC informing us that Josie Maran’s pink algae retinol serum has no retinol? I am truly shocked! How did this happen? It makes me less enthusiastic able reordering her products even though I love many of them.

I did not know about that but one time I tried Jose Maran whipped argan oil and bleck!  It was so greasy and sticky.  I pitched it.

What good is a product if it only smells good and is lousy every other way, so I don't buy those items anymore.

I am shocked.  I did not get a letter or have tried that product.  What did it say to do about it?  Return product for free?  At least they told you...

I knew it didn't have retinol in it back when it first came here. I mentioned that in a post back then explaining that it contained PRO-retinol (vitamin A derivative).

It was in this thread where I mentioned the pro-retinol. See message #10:

Hi

Can you post the letter?  What did it say?

I use that product but I didn't get the letter.  I am surprised.  I thought it was a gentle retinol product.  I mean that is what Josie herself said and says on presentations.

As much as I do like the Argon Milk and the Special Reserve.....  This a disappointment.  Like I think clean beauty should also mean truth.  Like Josie knows what  is in her products.

 another let down by a company.  It's like do I stop buying or continue to buy the products I like and ignore that I think the owner is a jerk. lol

@sadbear

I'm just wondering what benefits you noticed in using the pink algae serum? If you love this one, then why would you stop?

@Harpa - Maybe cost would be a factor to stop. (?) Without the retinol in it, could there be a similar drugstore version? The JM serum is $68.

@Mimi 1883

I thought the selling point, though, was the red algae, not the PRO retinol.

Doesn't Tatcha also use red algae? And Elemis? But they are up there in price, too.

I didn’t get the letter from the Q about the pink algae serum but I do use Josie’s skincare products which seem to give me the best results while still agreeing with my skin.  So for me i would continue using her products.

I just think using Rosehip Seed Oil would be a better choice & just as effective. Rosehip contain Vit, A which is a natural retinol acid. Its not pink tho.........I use Life Flo cold pressed organic which you can order online or in some retail stores. I also use some of JM's products which I will continue to purchase but also some other brands.
