9 - Butter London Sheer Widom Serum Shadow (my fav, Driftwood is 75% off at Ulta)

8 - Tarte

I would like to add that you should wait for the sales when purchasing the top line eye shadows, foundations, etc.  Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, etc.  They usually offer 25%, 30% off 2 or 3 x a year.  Also, Nordstrom has sales from time to time.  Their Anniversary sale is coming up soon.

@Katcat1   At that Anniversary Sale, I can usually pick up palettes, sets of lip liners/lipsticks/gloss and  supersizes of other favorite products. Some are not online and not sure if I want to be in a crowd in the store. They're also gone after availability the first day.

I really like the Milani palettes, especially the all matte one.  I think Urban Decay has gone way down on the list of beauty brands since they first launched their Naked palettes.  I also really, really like the Sydney Grace and Viseart shadows.

@Mellie32   The Viseart Paris Edit is one of my favorite cool toned palette.

If you like cool-toned palettes you would love the Sydney Grace Enduring Love palette.  I have a feeling that company will explode soon.

I haven't wore eyeshadows in YEARS---I got rid of many of them awhile ago. That being said--on those super rare occassions I do use shadow--it is BE bisque as a base then UD Bare neutrals palette of 5 as my go to. And of all things--I have Elizabeth Ardens Peach Sorbet blush that I use on my eyes ---that color is so fabulous on me, both the cheeks and the eyes. I think I got that in a beauty bag during  chemo from a hospital make up class that I took. I did find more to buy so I always have it.

@SurferWife , right now I am using the new Doll 10 Eye Primer and for me it's the best that I have ever used. I am 70 so some primers that I used to like just are too drying for me now. This primer leaves just a beautiful coat without drying the lids. It also dries very fast. I actually don't have to use another base color over it. I just can add accent colors where I want and leave this as my base. BTW I did not get off of QVC or HSN but rather their site.

Guerlain has always been one of my favorites. Just tried Ilia recently and love the palette.

Re: Let's Talk Eyeshadows

As @Shanus  said, shimmers tend to do more fallout over mattes. With that being said, I do use Smashbox, Lancôme & Buxom create your own palettes. I take the UD Naked Basics 2 when I traveled. I am currently using selective NARS duo eyeshadows & like their Cordoba duo. I recently bought on sale at their site the Portobello duo. It is matte & one me more of a base shadow. If I was fairer, it might be more visible. It had very little fallout when I applied it.

I do have a few Lancôme singles of the colors I use a lot like Nude Parfait & Burnt Sand.

@JustJazzmom   I forgot to mention my UD Naked Basics 2 palette...a classic matte cool toned palette. I wear it often. Love the last shade that's dark enough to use as liner.
