@@Shanus, I will have to check it out: my wardrobe is so predictable....I need to update a bit and I need ideas: she is a role model for me as fast as casual chic goes

Remember that conversation we had over the weekend about perfection??? She was on my mind because she is allowing herself to age gracefully, and when you zoom in on a close-up of her face in the Botegga ad, it does not look as if she is allowing photographers to use filters and weird lighting.

She is still beautiful and vibrant though: wrinkles and wrinkles included.  I really wish I had that level of acceptance, and darn you Shanus, I am still thinking about that topic.

I will not do plastic surgery for a variety of reasons, but when I walked into my vanity area this morning and saw my paints everywhere-which I did apply before going out.

I spent a few great months in therapy getting to know me-and finding self-acceptance, but your whole conversation made me think again.....did I really?

On the other hand, every society has a definition of physical and what is considered attractive-by our standards, extreme....such as a tribe that stretch their lips to the point where the bottom lip may jut out 8" or more.......hmmm, I do think biology is at play, but I am really trying to resolve the self-acceptance and outward perfection issues.

My apologies to Downton Abby on this one! I didn't mean to change the topic.

Back to the topic: Laren Becall may have had some work done earlier in her life, but I remember a few years ago she was doing commercials for "Tuesday Morning"....still beautiful, but allowing for natural aging.

What a nice thread! I've always liked her but over the weekend as I was reading the Wall Street Journal, I was delighted to see in their weekend women's fashion issue to see a full page advertisement with Lauren. I loved when she was on HSN and purchased several of her face discs; when you think of it, she was one of the forerunners in contouring the "pooches" on our jaw lines, taught us how to conceal both dark circles, dark shadows and spots as needed while still looking beautiful and authentic. For someone who could probably afford and have access to the best cosmetic procedures, it is just so refreshing and lovely to see that she has chosen the path of healthy and natural aging ~ to me she represents aging gracefully and it's inspirational!💕

I never thought she was beautiful, but she certainly wore clothes well.  She is very unique looking and does have great style.

Wrinkles and all, such STYLE and joy in living.

Lauren did a great spread for J.Crew a few years ago, showing how a woman in her 60's could rock chinos, t-shirts, a white shirt, and denim.

Lauren's style has always inspired me. Especially like her casual way of doing high-low dressing!

I love her and her products.  About a month ago, I "ran into" Lauren Hutton right  here in San Francisco  helping/walking with an older lady.   I told her that I use her face care moisturizing products from hsn.  Lauren was very sweet (and just as chatty as I am).  She said among other things that she no longer can keep up her tv appearances/business but the products are still available on her website, most 50% off.  Love her!  Nice lady.  I never speak to celebs., but it just came out of me when I saw her.
