Lauren Hutton question.

In April I will be spending a lot of time in the hospital about a month (my husband is getting a stem cell transplant). I know it might sound superficial to be thinking about makeup but it is what it is. I will spending time sleeping there and also running back and forth from L.I. to the City. I need something really easy and not heavy in relation to makeup to just throw in my bag.... I have one of the palettes but it is very old. I wonder if anyone could suggest a new circle palette I have the tourtoise(sp) one. Or should I just replace the compact with the ind. products. Even the makeup that has not dried up is pretty old, so what compact would be nice. Thanks.... I'm really rattled lately and can use some help. TIA
