Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation

Can anyone tell me how they like Laura Mercier mineral foundation? Do you like it better than Bare Minerals? No matter what primer I use, BM wears off in mid afternoon. Thanks so much! Also, do the colors match your skin tone?

I tried it a year or so ago....the texture is wonderful; very silky. I just couldn't get the right color for my skin tone. If the color works for you, you might really like it. The texture is much better than BM.

Thanks! I worry too about the right color. I am going to Nordstrom tomorrow to check it out.

I'm interested in responses as I'm on the same quest for a better mineral foundation and have heard great things about Laura Mercier's. I don't mean to hi-jack the thread, just hoping for more responses to the OP's question.Cool

I started with BM, & used it for years.

Then I tried the Mercier, & its a thousand times better! It has a much more creamy texture, & looks more natural than the BM. I have extremely problem-prone skin, & it didn't bother me in any way. Its the best mineral foundation that I've tried!

I may give this a try. Does anyone know what shade would be a match for light in Bare Escentuals?

I am medium skin-toned, so I can't help you. You could always call Laura Mercier & explain your skintone. There isn't much choice per skintone category.

Finding the PERFECT color in this can be a slight challenge. Some colors have a peachyness, others pink, & some are neutral.

But, it's a really great mineral foundation- love it.

Re: Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation

I've got two different shades in Laura Mercier. Now this makes me want to at least try them again.

I set them aside, went back to Bare Minerals as I honestly like the color and texture better than LM.

I'll try again.
