Re: Laura Geller's baked elements foundation- amazing!

Is it dewy looking on? I could use a more matte look, and I do use her Mattifying Primer. I like the Balance& Brighten, however with the swirls I often get a different shade that varies compact to compact. I have three B& B from TSV' s and each is different in how dark or light it is. I would like to try this foundation, but my forehead can get oily & don't want dewy for myself. Thanks-

I recently tried this and really like it.  Even better than B & B as I got a better color match.  It's not dewy at all.  I would call it more of a matte, but not a flat matte, just a very nice finish (and I do have oily skin).

Hi @fourpaws56.  I'm close to your age.  There are a few foundations I like, in different forms, but I think Laura Geller Baked Elements is one of  the best, if not the best, powdered foundations out there.  It's one that I've repeatedly purchased since it was introduced and the one I grab for the most.  I also keep one in my purse.  It is nothing like her B-n-B, IT Celebration Foundation, or BE.  I don't know about Philosophy because I've never tried it.  I am not dry, but use a moisturizer as the final step in my skincare night and day.  I can use the Baked Elements alone or as a setting powder over another moist type of foundation - it just depends on the coverage I want that day.  The Baked Elements can feel a little dry because it's lightweight and more sheer than B-n-B, but I don't notice it drying to my skin at all.  Most of the time, I use a primer (Missha BB Boomer) before I apply anything, powder alone or BB/CC cream.

What kind of moisturizer are you using?  Maybe you need to change it or do something to boost it?

l could have sworn that the 35% off coupon was still good today (on retailmenot it says it expires 12/31) but it's not working.  Oh well.  Not meant to be I guess!!

Edited to Add: I guess it paid to wait.  I ended up getting the BE foundation today along with some other things.  And I got more than 35% off, so I was pleased.  Will look forward to receiving this and giving it a try!

Re: Laura Geller's baked elements foundation- amazing!

Thought I would provide an update.  I tried the Light from Laura's website sale and it was a little too dark, so I was sort of mixing it with the last of a BnB in Fair.  I recently got the Fair BE from the Q and that is a little too light, so I'm mixing both the Fair and Light BE right now.  Too bad I can't find one perfect shade!
