Based on some very good reviews I read here of LG's Baked Elements Foundation I recently tried it as I could not get a perfect color match in her B & B Foundation (Porcelain was too light and pink and Fair was too dark and yellow). After an email to her Customer Service Department for advice on what color to order, I chose the Baked Elements in Porcelain and it is perfect.
I got her recent TSV that includes the new Double Take Baked Versatile Foundation (in Porcelain) so was curious how the two would compare. The first time I applied the Double Take dry to my whole face and did not consider it all that of a full coverage, more just medium, and very similar to the Baked Elements.
The next day I applied Baked Elements to one side of my face and the Double Take to the other. The coverage was quite the same and color wise almost identical, although the new Double Take is perhaps just a tiny bit lighter.
Yesterday I applied both foundations the same way but on top of liquid foundation (I use 100% Pure liquid foundation). This gave me full coverage and looked nice, again no real noticable difference in the coverage or color between the two.
Today I applied it alone wet and this gave me full coverage. It's a little surprising, however, because in the video online (here) titled "The Art of Flawless with Jillian Rezo" it stated "Apply dry using pink side of sponge for a matte finish. Apply wet using white side of sponge for a luminous finish." There was nothing luminous about applying this wet. It is a totally matte finish, much like applying it dry. Also, under the description of this product it states it "can be applied dry for medium to buildable coverage or wet for fuller coverage." This is true, but I do not understand the other comment about it giving a luminous finish when used wet.
In summary, I like both of these powder foundations for both coverage and color. When I want a fuller coverage look I will probably apply the powder foundation (either one) on top of my liquid foundation rather than using the Double Take wet. For days when I'm not going out and just want a lighter coverage I will be happy to use either one alone.
I don't know if this information is helpful to anyone or not, but hopefully it may be for some.
