I've been using Latisse for the past 2 years (off and on). Initially, I used it faithfully every night, and it took about 6 weeks before I really began to notice a difference. After a few months, I cut back to using it approximately 2-3 times per week.

I bought an inexpensive, angled eyeliner brush and use one drop of Latisse. I swipe the brush across my lash line on both eyes. 1 small bottle lasts about 3 months.

My eyelashes have gotten really long, however, I haven't noticed any thickness or increase to the number of lashes. I have hazel eyes, and haven't experienced any change in eye color. Initially when I first began using Latisse, I noticed some redness on my eyelid along my lash line in the mornings when I got up. However, I always use eyeshadow primer anyway and then apply my eyeshadow for the day, so no big deal. I no longer get any of the redness nor do I have any discoloration on my eyelid.

Since Latisse extends the eyelash growth cycle, when I stopped using the product, it was a matter of weeks before my eyelashes went back to normal (shorter length). I missed the look of longer eyelashes, so I started using the product again.

I have never used Latisse, but I have been using Careprost since last March, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. My lashes are long, thick, and hold a curl much better now.

I buy Careprost from All Day Chemist using a pre-paid debit card and have never had a problem.

I started using Latisse in the Spring and had to stop because it made my eyes so terribly itchy even though my lashes were longer than ever. My DD works for a derm so she was able to get me a sample recently and decided to try again. This time I have had no issues and my lashes are so lush and thick. I keep looking at them thinking this is not me. My DD mentioned that none of their patients have reported the side affect of darkening of the eye area either.

I have used off and on since it was released and it really does work. Also have had issue with it turning the skin around eye a darker color. Here is the remedy. After I achieved the desired length and thickness, I began to alternate daily use with one of the less expensive over the counter products. Great Lash-etc. This also helped with the super long lashes that had no curl.

Ladies, did you get the Careprost from a dermatologist? The last time I went to my dermatologist I noticed her lashes were amazing. I forgot what she said she was using, but it sounded like a generic form of latisse.

Twopeas - the Careprost comes from All Day Chemist. It's about $11 a bottle unless it went up since I ordered. The shipping is $25 so many of us get a few bottles at a time. The last few bottles I got had a 2 yr expire date. I've use both Latisse and generic Careprost and they both work great.

You can buy it from Tara Skincare for about $38 and get it in 2 days. I think it's free shipping in the US.

I buy my Careprost and my generic retin-a from Tara's, from order time to delivery to me is 2-3 days.

Maybe your brush/applicator became cross-contaminated somehow? I'm glad you have no trouble now.

For anyone who has used both Latisse and RapidLash, how does RapidLash compare? RapidLash is finally back on HauteLook today for $25 and I was going to grab it, but wonder if I should try something else...

Everyone I've heard who has used both, some here in this thread, say both work, but the Latisse/Careprost is much superior.
