Hello Beauties

I hope you are having a beautiful day.  We're expecting a spring snow today.  UGH!  So there's that.  :-)  In my part of the country, this does happen.  It's like Mother Nature really makes us want for the warm weather.  lol.

This afternoon, I have an appt for a lash lift & tint.  I like the idea of not wearing mascara.  My lashes are pretty good.  I use the Grande Lash serum.  My lashes are long, but not very dark.

This is my first lash lift & tint.  I wore lash extensions for a time a couple of summers ago.  I liked the look.  I just felt guilty about the expense.

However, my birthday is coming up.  And like every year, I think about what do I want to do FOR ME? I booked a facial, at a place near by that I like.  But that's later this week and it's a seasonal thing I like to do.  Not a birthday thing (wink wink)

I also bought a diamond pinky ring this week.  It's getting sized at the jewler's as we speak.  LOL.

Anyone do lash lift & tints?  Any advice?
Thanks!

I've never done it but I've wanted to for years.  Lashes and brows.  Please report back your experience.

I have. The results were nice- lashes were darker and a bit lifted, but I still had to wear mascara.

I haven't had this done professionally but I have used a home kit just for tinting. I'd love to hear about your experience since I've thought about having this done. Hope you like the results and enjoy your upcoming birthday!

I DIY brow tint which is super easy.  And yes, it makes a huge difference over cosmetic brow pencils or whatever product.  There is nothing like the look of proper tinting for brows, imo.  But never tried tinting or lifting lashes myself...way too dangerous.  Good luck!

Last April I had my lashes and eyebrows tinted with a vegetable dye.  Supposedly safe, right?   Well it was my own fault given my history of breaking out, itching and generally having skin reactions to new products.  I had a very bad reaction to the dye.  The skin around my eyebrows looked like it was burnt.  I blame no one but myself.  I should have known.  I would just say if you have any kind of skin sensitivity to be careful.  It took about a month and a half to clear up on me.

Re: Lash Lift & Tint

[ Edited ]

Hi!

@ScrapHappy

Well I went and had my lashes lifted and tinted.  They look good.  It's like I have very natural mascara on.  Which is the look I like and why I did this.  Ever since the pandemic and less make up, I really started to just like myself better without a lot of make up, but my lashes are mousy and mascara is better.

Hi

I am so sorry you had such a horrible experience.

While I was getting my lashes done, I couldn't help but think over and over.  What if something goes wrong and I am blinded!  I found the eyes patches they used (maybe they aren't patches but tape or something to do the dying, uncomfortable.  Afterwards, when she was done and I could open my eyes, it did burn.  But a few seconds with a fan and a tissue, it was fine.  They don't burn at all anymore.

I didn't know what to expect.  I do like the result & will do it again.  But next time just the tinting, not the lifting.  I don't mind curling my lashes and they will hold the curl.  What I don't like is applying and washing off mascara.

@JamandBread

I do understand what you meant about still needing mascara on top of this.  If a bold lash is desired, mascara or falsies will still be needed.  Lift and Tint is a subtle look.

Thanks all that read and responded!!!

@justashopper  I have pretty decent lashes (long and moderately thick), but they are not real dark or lifted. I thought I would be a good candidate for this procedure.

I've had it done twice by two different ladies who had great online reviews.  I was disappointed both times...just didn't see much of a difference.  I was really surprised because the b/a pictures I saw were very impressive.  Oh, well, at least now I know it wasn't for me.

I hope you love your results!

Thank you for posting your experience.  I also wear very little makeup but my lashes are so light (blonde) that you can't even tell I have any.  My brows are also very light.  I'm going on a cruise at the end of the year.  I don't want to be bothered with mascara and brow products.  Maybe this will make me do it.  Thanks again.
