Hi Ladies,
I just took the plunge and ordered the Wen Lav set. I have fine hair but a lot of it. It's not super thick but with product I look like I have a full mane. I get my hair cut about every 3 months (to my bra strap) and at that time I also get High Lights and Low Lights and do my own touch ups prior to this and once inbetween (about 1 full shade lighter than my natural) I've already have gone through menopause it will be 2 yrs and I also have thyroid and T2 both controlled except I'm weaning off one thyroid med onto another so far so good. I do have a bit of shedding a bit heavy at times but I know that's my normal when my dose is being changed. Not happy they took Levoxyl off the market so not I need to wean onto Levothyroxine instead I take 37.5 mcg's of that and 2 grains of Armour.
Here's my question. I have used for the last two years Moroccan Shampoo and Conditioner. Works good but it's not perfect. I also use Kevin Murphy Powder puff on my crown and his thickening cream then blow dry and flat iron Maybe 2 times a week if I'm not going out.
I am due to get my hair done next Tuesday (can't come soon enough long story it's been 4 months) When I get the high lights and low lights when it comes time to wash out, of course you have some color transfer on the low lights. Within 2 shampoos my low lights are bright and the color transfer is gone. What will happen if I switch to Wen? Will it be able to remove the color transfer?
I'm also scared of the people that have said they lost hair? Now I'm sure most of this is not due to the product but like some have said due to hormonal but still I'm a bit nervous since I want to improve my hair not go backwards.
I'm soon to be 51 and I'm mistaken daily for my early 40's. I would love to keep this trend going...LOL Any tips on how to use this would be great.
I have dry ends that have broken off but a good cut will help that (about 3" off) but my scalp can get oily. I have some not a lot of natural curl to my hair but wear it straight. (Never had any curl until I started on Armour) I think my hair is screaming for moisture but I don't want a greasy mess.
How long did it take you to get the hang of it? If your hair is soft do you still have body? With the shampoo I use if my hair gets too soft it will do nothing.
I know a lot of questions. Please bear with me.
