@molly and me

Same here as far as being ill (autoimmune for me) and over 5 years without me being aware, my skin just became all haggard!

I swear by isomers skin care products ... they have restored my "youthful glow" ... YES I AM NOT KIDDING!

The products are sold on ShopHQ and their lab website Isomers.com.

So many of these products actually put the nutrition back in my skin that eating properly still doesn't do.

I also take Andrew Lessman supplements because his contain no fillers...I have problems with fillers.

The AIP protocol diet has done wonders for my issue as well as PaleoProtein shakes by Amy Meyers MD, which contain AIP approved protein of 26 g and no unclean extra ingredients.

One of my issues and the way I was diagnosed (in 2017) was a scarring alopecia. I was prescribed a steroid liquid, a jaks inhibitor cream, Rogaine, iron (Fergon), Spironolactone, and doxycycline !00mg/1x day.
Also a multivitamin called "Ritual" which was an idea from my hair stylist.

I hope any of these suggestions are of help. Please let me know if any questions.

Good luck and Happy Holiday to you!

@LTT1  Thank you so much.......I too am a big fan of Andrew Lessman.  I've started to take a number of his supplements, including his hair, skin and nails, but I think I need to look into the supplement you recommended for your hair.  Off topic.......I am re-thinking my feelings about naps......I now find that I'm actually enjoying a little nap in the afternoons.  In fact, that's what I'm going to do now LOL.

I'm glad to read you're on the mend.  Just remember (most likely) you didn't get this way overnight and you can't heal/get better overnight.

I'm so glad to hear that you're on your way to recovery!

No real advice just wanted to say that  it sounds like you've been through a lot with your many years of illness so just give yourself a little extra grace because you can't expect to bounce back quickly.

If you can, take extra care to get good sleep, good nutrition, extra water, gentle exercise (at first...walking), bubble baths with extra moisturizing creams and oils afterward....just the basics, your body will respond, it wants to be healthy and before you know it you'll be feeling and looking better.

I wish you continued good health!Smiley Happy

*Cerave moisturizing cream and Aveeno baby eczema therapy nighttime balm are both very moisturizing for my extra dry skin....

@molly and me I couldn't offer any better adive than GingerHead has!

I will simply add my voice to the chorus to you and to @LindaSal that you continue to improve and that you both be blessed with health and happiness through the holiday season and in the coming year.

I am sorry that you have gone through such a long ordeal, but I am glad to hear that you are on the mend.  First of all, why not make an appointment with a good hair stylist and get a good haircut and get some tips on what products to use for your hair to make it healthier?  While you are there, ask them for a recommendation as to where to go to get some help regarding your skin and also some makeup application.  As you have written, if you look better on the outside, if will make you feel better on the inside!  And most of all, try to eat as healthy as you can and take a good multivitamin.  Rest a lot and when you are able, try taking some walks to get some fresh air and get limbered up.  All the best!!!

@molly and me   So sorry you've been to he*l and back. Yes, looking better is feeling better to me, too.

I'd begin with a simple cleanser and moisturizer like Cerave or Cetaphil and get your skin feeling clean and subtle before moving on to anything expensive.

I find that a bit of blush and lipstick/or gloss brightens my face and makes me feel better for beginning the day.

@molly and me  Wishing you a steady road back to feeling and looking good.  There have been so many wonderful suggestions already.  Andrew Lessman's vitiamins for one.  I've been taking them for over 35 years.

You may also want to look at RMS Beauty.   Rosemary Swift truly believes in clean beauty and her products are wonderful. They help with the GLOW,  but are not sparkly or flashy by any means.  Check out some of her videos both on her site,  YouTube and here on QVC.

All the best to you.  How wonderful that your daughter has taken part in your journey.  Sending you hugs.
