In that respect, it's not like other jobs, where you usually find a new job before you leave the current one.
Is she kidding? any prospective employer had to only turn on the TV to assess her abilities. Lisa was a " big fish in a little pond " while at QVC....now she may find her star status isn't in much demand outside of the Q....I wish her well but I think her fans have vastly overestimated her marketability in the "real world".
I totally agree. And I think Lisa left QVC because she didn't get her way about something.

I am not a big QVC watcher. I didn't know what the other Lisa that left QVC was dong until she showed up a few years later selling Super Smile on the network. She was one of the few genuine people whose presentations I enjoyed on q.
Lisa R was a top sales person on qvc for many years so I'm sure she has plenty of time to make a decision about her next move. I doubt she left not having a clue though.

I think Lisa left QVC, because after 24 years she felt she wanted new challenges. She doesn't have husband or children so she is free to make the change. I am sure QVC was not happy that she decided to leave. They built her a new set for her own show, gave her a fashion line, gave her input as to their choices of jewelry, etc. QVC did not ask Lisa to leave. Why would QVC give the boot to one of their most successful. I am sure other successful hosts such as Jill Bauer, Rick and the cooking guy have families so they are less free to leave.

People just aren't born into a career field, they have to start somewhere on there way to becoming an expert in any area. Jeez, give the girl a break. I also think that she doesn't have near as many star struck obnoxious fans as her detractors think, there are just a lot of people who get sick of hearing people be so incredibly mean to someone they don't really even know so they jump in and take up for her. I for one really loved the GILI line and hope that the Q keeps selling it. I also hope for the best for Lisa. She's very talented, beautiful, and has done well for herself. Instead of wanting to scratch her eyes out, I'm hoping continued success and happiness for her in whatever she chooses to do and I'm wondering how the Q could have let such a talented host get away.I appreciated Lisa providing "the look for less" on QVC.
I certainly can't afford to go straight to the designers for ANYTHING. Good for you if you can afford to shop at Prada, Chloe, or whoever else is the mastermind for fashion.
Who cares if Lisa copied other designs? I'm sure all the fashions from brick and mortar stores like Kohls,Target, Walmart, etc all copied from other designers. I wonder if people go to Kohls.com and gripe that a jacket was already seen by "fill any mastermind designer here" and Kohls is being a "copycat" and the fashions are not original. My goodness it's not a new thing.
I craft for a hobby and I definitely go to Pinterest, Youtube, and Google to get inspiration. I guarantee you those who receive my handmade cards are not griping that I got the idea from someone else. Good grief!

How refreshing to read the above two posts. I've never understood the reason for all the Lisa bashing.

I, too, think she left due to disagreements. I have no idea what they were, but I heard it wasn't all "lovey dovey " her last day. I don't even know if it was about money. I do think she left on her own accord though. There's no way they'd have let her go.
Many watched QVC due to Lisa. I don't care who the host is. If it's a product I like or want, I buy. But, I don't think all purchasers feel that way.
It could be money or it could have been something else. I guess no one will ever know.

Don't forget Bob Bowersox, Dave James, Judy Crowell and here husband (can't remember name), Dave King, and others. If Lisa ends up there, so much the better. There might even be a couple of good hosts who decide to make a change. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'll never be a big buyer again, but would love to see some good kitchen shows and find a couple of new clothing lines I like.

That IS weird! Is there some reason you can't go to her Facebook page? You know - the page Lisa herself posts on pretty much every day, telling everyone what's up with her? What time she gets up, what she has for breakfast, when she exercises, who she had dinner with, when she gets her hair colored, etc., all accompanied by photos?
Are you saying that everyone who is on Facebook posts their every move? Not true, of course. And those are all things Lisa herself did post about - that others on FB might or might not post, depending upon their personality and why they have a FB page.
Not only their every move, but make up fantasy lives or embellish their lives to make it sound more interesting.
I don't do Facebook but know people who do & I have seen the things people we know write & the pictures they post. Unbelievable things. As well as posting about their employers & fellow employees. Very sad.
LM AO. Of COURSE these comments always come from people who "don't do" Facebook themselves, but yet know all about it. Right, well, there's credibility and then there's...no credibility, just "people say" and "people I know have told me." Okay.
I'm LM AO at the people who have absolutely no reading comprehension skills. Read my post. I clearly state that I know people who are on Facebook & I have seen & read what has been written & the photos that are posted. I personally know the people who are posting on Facebook & I do have access to see & read such posts from those who have Facebook accounts. So, yes, I do know all about it because it's friends & family & I live it. Show me where I wrote "people say" & "people I know have told me". No credibility issue at all.
