I as eyeing this 25 pan palette, but there looked like a lot of shimmers/sparkle shadows. I've never tried her shadows. Are they worth a try?

25yrs ago, i would have bought without thinking twice. Now, there are too many frosted shades that i would never use. Her eyeliners and marble lipsticks look good. i have never use any of her products, but i do enjoy watching her(depending on the host). I see she has a tsv, next friday. I'm hoping for a wow, since it's a 25th anniversary.

I have one LG palette (4) called Celestial Bliss. All are shimmers. (I really dislike flat makeup.) Although I love the one color to use more as smudgy liner, these, shall we say, wear away during the day. But I do not use any spackles or primers or shadow insurance.

If this helps....?

I looked at that too. I liked all the neutral shades but also noticed they all looked shimmery. I like some shimmers in a palette, I like wearing them...but I use them as a little highlight on the lid, and want matte neutrals too to use on the overall lid or in the crease, or simply on a day I don't want the shimmer. I was surprised in a palette that large there are no mattes. In fact, in any eyeshadows I've ever had from LG, they never had any matte...I wonder why?

I've never just bought her eyeshadows...they always came along with makeup kits with other items. I love LG, and her B&B and blushes have been my Holy Grail items for years. They are all I use for foundation, and for blushes.

That said...in terms of eye shadows of hers...I've only ever used them once in a while, and usually because of the reasons we're discussing...usually there was just too much shimmer or glam for my everyday look. But I use them occasionally to add some pop of color. As for the quality...they are very good and long lasting...just as all her baked items.

Hope that helps!

Hi @Shanus

LG eye shadows are among my favorites.  What I really like about the formula is they can be used wet or dry.  You know how sometimes once you use it wet, it doesn't work as well back to dry?  These in my experience go both ways! LOL

Compared with other eye shadows I use I have found LG ones to be too shimmery.  They lack color saturation and wear off even with an eyelid primer (I use Nars).  Beautiful colors but....not going there again.

@Shanus LG's shadows are the only ones I use...I currently have the Vanity Favorites pallette and like it a lot. While probably more than half do have some shimmer, none have individual bits of glitter. To me, it's a very subtle effect when applied. Looks more shimmery in the pallette than on my eyes. I do use a primer--Urban Decay Primer Potion, and everything stays put.

I had a few of her baked ones a while back. I dont think much of her quality, lots of fallout, and her packaging is awful, mirrors break, things fall out of their containers, and the list goes on.

@Shelbelle Much as I do love LG's B&B and her blushes, over time I have experienced some of the container issues on a few of them...not a deal breaker for me. But expecially I find the issues you mention with her eyeshadows, more reasons they've just never been among my favorite eyeshadows, in particular.

Currently I'm using a Bobby Brown palatte...love the colors, mix of shimmer and matte, but I purchased a few years ago, or I'd recommend. I liked the colors in this, but BB has never been my favorite in quality, especially after her company was sold.

Always loved Mally's colors, both powder shadows and eyeshadow sticks. However, the shadow sticks break off too soon, out of the container...so I'm still using it, carefully, but it moves in and out of the tube. And all her former products I used to love have all changed due to her company also being sold.

SO...with all that said....I've yet to really find a Holy Grail "Love these!" eyeshadow...but would love suggestions. Though I realize maybe not here, as this thread is just about LG eyeshadows.
