L ASCORBATE VS SODIUM ASCORBIC PHOSPHATE??

I always use L Ascorbate, but as I'm looking at ingredients I'm seeing the majority of C serums with the sodium type.  I then googled it and it's not as potent as the L ASCORBIC type ...its more of a derivative less potent.   Either way, I'm looking for the L ASCORBIC type 20 percent. So far, I'm only finding Timeless brand, which I used to use,( around$20)  but prices have gone up and there's a shipping fee.   I stopped buying from Amazon, because it was never fresh.  Any suggestions on L Ascorbate C serums, 20 percent in the lower price range??

I WOULD TRY "THE ORDINARY" LINE DAZLIN.

PRICES VERY REASONABLE AND THEY GET GREAT REVIEWS.

Not to confuse anyone, but I am about to try Isomers C serum, Manuela uses Ethylated Ascorbic Acid, and so does Dr Nassif, so I am going to try it. I trust Manuela to give us the best ingredients she can. She used to use MAP.

@Dazlin

Dr. Brenner on amazon makes a 20% L-ascorbate serum for $20+sh. But if you go to his website then you can get it for $19 and they will ship it for free. I  haven't used that serum but the reviews on amazon look pretty good to me. The reviews on his website are also good plus there is an unconditional 30-day-money-back guarantee, no questions asked.

Dr. Brenner VC serum ingredients:

Water, Ethoxydiglycol, L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 20%, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Laureth-23, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) 1%, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid ) 1%, Ferulic Acid .5%, Panthenol, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol.

@goldensrbest

The QRx is more of a moisturizer oil which is enriched with VC and the Dr. Brenner's is VC serum. Those use different kinds of VC, not the same kind in each.

Re: L ASCORBATE VS SODIUM ASCORBIC PHOSPHATE??

@Dazlin I’ve been a Mad Hippie Vitamin C user for quite some time.  I am about out and have been wondering about trying an L-Ascorbic serum.  Refresh Skin Therapy caught my eye and I’m thinking about ordering it. I also like that Niacinamide is included. It’s about $30 on Amazon, $25 on the Costco website.

Here’s the ingredient list:

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Ethoxydiglycol, L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Laureth-23, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ferulic Acid, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), TEA, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium PCA, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Phenoxyethanol.

@SilleeMee   I haven't figured out why, but different serums, all L-Ascorbic Acid 20% are different on my skin...some stronger than others. I've had some that irritated and burned my face and had to be returned. I do pay more for the OBAGI PROFESSIONAL C 20%, but it seems to work w/o the irritation. Do you have an explanation?
