there will be a korres tsv on 2/17. that may be a good time to tune in and learn more about the brand.
and if you over spend, it is not my fault. i am merely passing along some information. (smile)
if you like free shipping, korres doesn't disappoint!

Thanks for the heads up on that TSV,  I'm assuming, of course, you mean on HSN.  I can't wait to try the Olive Oil line now.  Wouldn't it be great if that was the TSV?  Well for me it would, @iwrite

@WindingRoad I'm thnking the TS on the 17th will be the Olive oil line, especially since they just gave out those samples of the new Olive Oil Apple cream (I got it too, but haven't tried it yet).

I did just try my first Olive Oil set - the Lime, which I am enjoying.  Light and fresh -- scent not as strong as the regular Korres bath and body products I've tried and wondering from others if all the Olive Oil scents are a little lighter or just this one?

omg. i'm sorry @WindingRoad for not saying which network. yes, hsn.
i "suspect" that it may be the tsv, as in the past when i've received a sample, sooner or later it was a tsv.  while i like the olive oil line, my preference is still the regular korres.

@sueinsf, like you, i have only tried one olive oil scent - the cactus pear body wash and body butter. based on only having used that scent, i would agree that the olive oil scent is lighter then the regular korres scents.none of the regular scents are over powering to me. the basil lemon will wake you up though.

i did order a 4 pack of olive oil body wash the end of january, which is how i got the apple body butter sample, but it is still in the shrink wrap. my intention was/is to see if it makes more of a difference in terms of moisture in the winter, then the regular korres body wash. i used the cactus pear body wash in the summer, so i don't know.

the 4 pack scents are olive blossom, honeysuckle, verbena and cedar.

my new fav, is the guava mango, especially since it came in the 33 oz size with a pump! when i ordered that last year, i didn't know that there was a body butter with the same scent (don't ask why i didn't know that - LOL), but when the 3 pack comes back, i hope i don't miss it.

Thanks @iwrite.  I'll be interested to hear what you think of the 4 pack of the other Olive Oil scents.  It seems like they keep expanding this line so I expect we will continue to see new scents coming out, like the Apple. Often the TS's include additional products I don't really care about -- I'll try them but I'm happy with a simple bath/body duo.

Interesting that you mentioned the Guava Mango -- I just purchased the duo when it was recently on sale but haven't opened it yet.  Thought it might be more of a warm weather scent but since I'm just finishing up the Citrus Guava, I could open this to replace it.  Glad to hear it's a favorite!  I wasn't so much a fan of the Papaya Mango,  but I think it was the Papaya I didn't care for; I would expect to like the Guava Mango.  My favorite is Lemon Basil.

Re: Korres Pure Greek Olive Cream - HSN

I love the Korres body products Heart  I did not get the sample, but appreciate reading your comments about it. Will be looking to see the TS and other new items for the upcoming event

My favs are the Olive Oil Blossom and from the original line the Jasmine is divine -soft and authentic scent, best of any beauty brand that sells Jasmine.  I also love the White Grape Santorini.

Surprising bc it's the top selling scent - I do not like Guava.

Interested to try the body butter spray

you are very welcome @sueinsf

besides being busy, i haven't rushed to open any of the new olive oil scents is because in addition to the 33 ounce guava mango, i am trying to finish up some bottles of philosophy, because i don't want to waste my money.

back in the day, a friend of mine bought the original guava and i didn't care for it. it wasn't bad. i just knew that i would not buy it. why i took a chance on guava mango was shocking, but i like mango. i must have slept through the guava papaya era, as i only heard about it when the guava mango came out last year. i can't say how the mango compares to the papaya.

i may be strange, but i don't think about what time of year a scent is good for. i have been using the mango, since i got it last summer. too me, it is a calming and relaxing scent. dare i say that it is the complete opposite of basil lemon.

i think last year people that that had loved the papaya bought the mango, based on what i remember from the presentation.

don't be like me and take a while to open something, crack open the guava mango. LOL

i use to always keep basil lemon on hand, but not so much lately. maybe because i don't have the need to be that awake (smile) who knows

yes, the olive oil line in terms of scents, keep growing. i suspect that is because some of the ingredients can only be harvested (is that the right word) once a year. so, if they stuck to only 3 or 4 scents, much of the olive oil product line would be out of stock for large portions of the year.

what i'm not a fan of in the olive oil line is the body oil spray. it just takes a year and a day to rub in.

i know what you mean about other products being part of a tsv. the shower gel and body butter is enough for me. but i understand that tsv's often introduce something new.

however, if the upcoming tsv includes a body butter spray, i may be in. last year when when it was introduced (in a regular scent), i had to try it. i like being able to spray on body butter. if you haven't tried the spray, it's lighter then the regular body butter, which for me, is good in the summer when it's 90 degrees.

otherwise, i will probably pass, 'cause i'm waiting for the yogurt shower gel to arrive in the 33 ounce size with a pump, probably in july. and to see what other scents come in that size.

the yogurt scent is often sold out. i remember liz saying that it was one of the most moisturizing ones in the line, several years ago, so i jumped on board with both the shower gel and body butter. in addition to it being more moisturizing, i like it because it doesn't have a scent (at least to me). and there are many days when i really don't want a scent. weird, i know.

@Chi-town girl

no worries, you aren't alone in not liking the original guava. in my previous post in this thread, i said that i didn't care for it either.

yep, that's the body butter spray that i was referring to in my previous post. i have the spray in lavender and of all things cashmere rose. i say that because in general , i do not like floral scents. fortunately, the cashmere rose is very light. i really like the body butter spray.

i don't know the criteria for getting the sample. i don't know if they sent it with all korres orders or just olive oil orders.

in general, i still prefer the original line. i only purchased the olive oil shower gels to see if they made any difference in the winter time, when it's more dry, as the yogurt was out of stock. but at the rate i'm going, it will be spring and i still won't have tried one in the winter - LOL

one of the scents i got was blossom. what does it smell like to you?

@iwrite - fragrance is such a personal and subjective choice. I thought as popular as Guava is I would like it but my experience is, no thanks!

I'm also not a big fan of traditional floral but I adore the Korres Jasmine. The Olive Oil Blossom is difficult to describe.  It's moderately noticeable but not offensive and not anything like a common floral like rose or gardenia.  It's not overly feminine either.

Edited to add - thank you for the review/info about the body butter spray.  I'm interested to try it

yes, they say guava is their #1 selling scent. some of that is because it's been around longer then most (smile)

thank you for your olive oil description. as long as it doesn't knock me out the tub, it's all good.

i think one reason korres is a winner is because they DO NOT use synthetic scents.

i remember way back when, when i use to go to department stores, i would stay way away from the perfume department, because it was just over the top.

there aren't many scents in the body butter spray.  i believe that i saw one in one of the guava scents, but i don't have that one. the 2 scents that i have, have a very light scent. i don't have the same scent in the body butter, so i don't know if it is exactly the same or lighter.

if/when they come out with a guava mango body butter spray - i'm all in.

Re: Korres Pure Greek Olive Cream - HSN

Thanks to all of you for your great comments. I apologize that I didn't see some of them sooner...

Just a follow-up on my part about the Korres Olive Oil body creams. I received my 6-piece set of different scents last Friday from HSN. They're not very large, but like others have said, you don't need much. I love these body creams, especially for my hands, arms and thighs. They're so rich but not at all greasy....soak right into my skin. It's not one of those creams that you slather all over - but to me it really does addess dryness.

Thanks for the comments about the shower gel and the upcoming special on HSN. I'm really pleased with this product and so glad I tried it - thanks to the sample HSN sent.
