Thanks @iwrite. I'll be interested to hear what you think of the 4 pack of the other Olive Oil scents. It seems like they keep expanding this line so I expect we will continue to see new scents coming out, like the Apple. Often the TS's include additional products I don't really care about -- I'll try them but I'm happy with a simple bath/body duo.
Interesting that you mentioned the Guava Mango -- I just purchased the duo when it was recently on sale but haven't opened it yet. Thought it might be more of a warm weather scent but since I'm just finishing up the Citrus Guava, I could open this to replace it. Glad to hear it's a favorite! I wasn't so much a fan of the Papaya Mango, but I think it was the Papaya I didn't care for; I would expect to like the Guava Mango. My favorite is Lemon Basil.
you are very welcome @sueinsf
besides being busy, i haven't rushed to open any of the new olive oil scents is because in addition to the 33 ounce guava mango, i am trying to finish up some bottles of philosophy, because i don't want to waste my money.
back in the day, a friend of mine bought the original guava and i didn't care for it. it wasn't bad. i just knew that i would not buy it. why i took a chance on guava mango was shocking, but i like mango. i must have slept through the guava papaya era, as i only heard about it when the guava mango came out last year. i can't say how the mango compares to the papaya.
i may be strange, but i don't think about what time of year a scent is good for. i have been using the mango, since i got it last summer. too me, it is a calming and relaxing scent. dare i say that it is the complete opposite of basil lemon.
i think last year people that that had loved the papaya bought the mango, based on what i remember from the presentation.
don't be like me and take a while to open something, crack open the guava mango. LOL
i use to always keep basil lemon on hand, but not so much lately. maybe because i don't have the need to be that awake (smile) who knows
yes, the olive oil line in terms of scents, keep growing. i suspect that is because some of the ingredients can only be harvested (is that the right word) once a year. so, if they stuck to only 3 or 4 scents, much of the olive oil product line would be out of stock for large portions of the year.
what i'm not a fan of in the olive oil line is the body oil spray. it just takes a year and a day to rub in.
i know what you mean about other products being part of a tsv. the shower gel and body butter is enough for me. but i understand that tsv's often introduce something new.
however, if the upcoming tsv includes a body butter spray, i may be in. last year when when it was introduced (in a regular scent), i had to try it. i like being able to spray on body butter. if you haven't tried the spray, it's lighter then the regular body butter, which for me, is good in the summer when it's 90 degrees.
otherwise, i will probably pass, 'cause i'm waiting for the yogurt shower gel to arrive in the 33 ounce size with a pump, probably in july. and to see what other scents come in that size.
the yogurt scent is often sold out. i remember liz saying that it was one of the most moisturizing ones in the line, several years ago, so i jumped on board with both the shower gel and body butter. in addition to it being more moisturizing, i like it because it doesn't have a scent (at least to me). and there are many days when i really don't want a scent. weird, i know.
