Re: Korres Labor Day Weekend

I saw there is a new scent listed under the mega size body butter and the 1 liter shower gels - Grapefruit!! I have been wanting a great citrus based scent from Korres and was happy to see it. But then I read the scent notes, and I'll be waiting to hear Liz explain this scent then wait for reviews. I'm confused by this combo of scents in something named Grapefruit? I've realized I really enjoy the Korres scents that are more clean and less perfume like scents that have musk etc in them. A musky jasmine grapefruit doesn't sound that appealing to me? Or maybe I'm still just disappointed in the Olive Oil Ginger Mint...I had hoped it would be similar to the fresh ginger lime they had years ago but it's very much cologne like to my nose and its definitely not a repurchase scent for me.

Here's the info re the new Grapefruit scent per HSN's site:

Fragrance Notes

  • Top Notes: bergamot, grapefruit, neroli
  • Heart Notes: jasmine, rose
  • Bottom Notes: musk, amber, vetiver, cedarwood

I saw that too, sometimes we cant trust Liz's descriptions for accuracy, she gets carried away.

@FindingMyJoy Thanks for thal info.  The Basil Lemon is one of my favorites from Korres and I'd normally be interested in Grapefruit, but I agree with you that that chart doesn't sound appealing to me!  May have to wait for reviews on it.

And thanks too for your comment on the Olive & Ginger Mint - I was wondering what that smelled like.  I'm still curious about the Chamomile and may try that one if a bath & body duo ever shows up (and not something supersized).

Chamomile is usually so bland, I never think of that as having any fragrance to it.

@FindingMyJoy  thank you for pointing out the new scent. If you are unsure, you might want to wait for reviews. Liz is sweet and I love Korres but they never really do a good job of describing the scents on air.

Re: Korres Labor Day Weekend

@sueinsf  chamomile tea is one of my favorite olive scents, along with sea salt. I don’t know how to describe it, but definitely herbal and not overpowering. Some of the other olive scents I’ve tried are too strong for me. I would love to see a pure grapefruit, I’m leery about this new one too.

@tucsongal I remember you recommending the Chamomile.  I'm just waiting for the right set to give it a try, and maybe use up some of what I already have Smiley Happy

The only olive scent that I find a little strong (and a bit too perfumey for me) is the Olive Blossom, although I do like it better now than I did at first.

@sueinsf  I went back to a previous post and you recommended the Basil Lemon to me. That’s what I ended up getting and I like it!
