Okay, follow-up advice needed. I took a chance and ordered the Callista hot rollers TSV last month, and it finally arrived on Monday. I had a holiday party to go to at work yesterday, so I figured it was as good a time as any to try the rollers out. I used two pumps of styling creme (SAM) Monday night when I cleansed, let my hair air dry overnight, and after fixing doggie breakfasts and packing my lunch for work, I heated up the rollers until the little dot was white, as per instructions, put my hair up in them, and turned on a 20 minute timer. Went about the rest of what needed done to get off to work, and when the timer went off, took out the rollers. Hair was gorgeous, I couldn't feel any heat damage to the ends. However, by the time I got to work, half an hour or so after removing the rollers, the curls were virtually gone, there was just a hint of flip on the ends. Bummed!

For those of you who use hot rollers or curling irons, does WEN mousse help hold the curl if you apply it to wet hair along with styling creme and then style after your hair dries? I know Chaz doesn't like heated styling tools, but he's also a rational man and makes styling creme to protect our hair from heat, bless him. I know he created the mousse to be different from what I think of as "commercial" products, but does it actually perform the same function, to help hold a style? Or do I have to decide that, if I want a soft wavy curl in my otherwise stick-straight hair, I need to burn another hole in the ozone layer and blast in half a can of hair spray to hold it more than half an hour? Thanks for any advice, I appreciate the expert experience you all share very much!
