Re: Keeping Eye Brows in Place

I just trim mine.  I comb them straight up and trim off the tips above my brows natural brow line.  They always lay down nice and flat after that.

@jpiewrote:

Just tried a tip from a makeup artist from the Allure "All About Eyes" issue recently:

Take a spoolie and drag it through a bar of soap and then use it to shape/set your brows.  I used an old spoolie from an ELF brow pencil and then drug it across a white Dove beauty bar (from my shower).  It works really well!

@jpie  FYI: when the soap dries, if you used too much, it becomes white, flakey like dandruff.

@Desertdi @Carmie   I used to trim my mom's eyebrows, too. Her hair, brows and nails grew fast! She lived in an Assisted Living and then Skilled Care. After her hair appointments, I'd do her nails and make sure her brows were neat and tidy. (Ironically, it was my son who noticed they were unruly and asked me to trim them!)

Re: Keeping Eye Brows in Place

I trim mine with manicure scissors, but some have "curl" in them and just won't stay put without help! A lip balm--like Chapstick--works well. I brush them up, run the balm over them, let it sit a minute to soften the hairs a little, then brush into place. If you happen to have Cindy Joseph's BoomStick in Glow, that works really well, too. My brows are the only thing I use it on!

I have wild eyebrows - I use clear mascara to hold them. Works well for me.

I've been using Bobbi Brown eye brow gel for years. Works great.

Thanks, I'll be mindful of this, it worked well for me.  I guess I had just enough. So far, so good!  I'll go with a light touch as to not get any residual fallout!  Good to know!
