I'm happy with my regular "stay-on" lip color. But I'm always looking! I wear Lipsense. I started buying it when DD's college friend sold it. She hasn't done that for a while, and it's getting harder to buy online because a lot of my favorites have been discontinued. I like seeing colors in person, but I don't want to get involved with a person I don't know! DD's friend never pushed me, but I'm not sure everyone would be like that!
Recently I attended an event where the guest speaker spoke for hours. Her lip color didn't budge, so during a break I went to the stage - where she was waiting by herself for the next segment - and asked her if she wouldn't mind telling me what lip color she had on.
She pulled a lipstick from her purse and said she bought it at Ulta and the line was designed for women of color, which she was. I had never heard of it, but I went today to investigate. I am pretty light in coloring with blonde hair. The SA helped me and matched me with a pretty peachy coral, "Soil."
I tried it when I got home and it's a beautiful color on me but it goes on thick. I wasn't going anywhere else today so I took it off, and it took a while!
Does anyone have any experience or thoughts with this brand? I still have some beauty products from here I need to try! ![]()

@beach-mom - I use their bronzer in Light and love it! Haven't tried anything else but know their eyeshadow palettes are popular.

@beach-mom - Juvia's Place has a lot of quality products. They're designed for all women.
I love a lip product that stays on the lip.

I have a Juvia's Place eyeshadow palette. From the picture on the front of the palette I was under the impression the line was aimed at women of color. But, I would think most skin colors can wear browns and golds. I found them to be highly pigmented so, being fair-skinned, I just barely touch my brush to the darker color and make sure to shake it off before applying. It makes sense though since darker skin doesn't show color as easily as fair skin.
I would not like the peachy color. I got the Skinn bonus lippie in Mauvette. When I saw them on TV last night I thought they all looked wearable for me, but when I saw them on my computer today and on the models shown on the page, the other two colors leaned more peachy.

Thanks ladies!
@JudyL - I'm glad you like the bronzer. I will tell DD. And DD said she has heard the eyeshadow palette is good. I saw one, but I was focused on lips and I was in a hurry to get home!
@San Antonio Gal - I'm wearing it tomorrow. I'll put it on lightly and let you know how it stays on.
@Icegoddess - Thanks for the info about the palette! I look good in peaches and corals because I have warm coloring. DD doesn't look great in those colors because she has a cooler complexion.
We are opposites. She will come in with something she bought that doesn't work for her and give it to me, and vice versa. ![]()

I don't believe I've ever had a Juvia's place lip product but I've had plenty of eyeshadow palettes and I currently have a liquid in Rosey Posey, a two pan blush #4, and a two pan bronzer, light. As far as I'm concerned they make really nice products.
Thanks @monicakm! I will have to investigate even more! I just went to their website for the first time tonight. I had a moment of panic because I use only cruelty-free products. I was glad to learn they are!
Also, I saw on their website they say their line is for ALL complexions, from the fairest, which I am very close to.
I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow! ![]()

Hmmm. I have seen their products at Ulta, but never spent a ton of time lookng at them, but will have to take another look/see.....I love a lip product that lasts a while on the lips.....

Disappointed. I put it on lightly, first just lightly tapping and then lightly swiping. Although it said "satin" I thought it leaned matte. I followed with clear lip gloss (Lipsense) and did not blot.
The color looked amazing on - a tad brighter than I usually wear, but a beautiful lighter burnt orange.
It was gone in about 2 hours.
I'm giving it another chance tomorrow, but if that doesn't work I'm done. I usually give makeup that doesn't work for me to DD, but this color would not look good on her. I don't like to return makeup, so I will try to find someone. Just because it didn't stay on me doesn't mean it won't on someone else.
Or - I could resort to reapplying it every 2 hours! ![]()

How long does lipSTICK normally stay on you?
@monicakm - My Lipsense stays on all day without needing a refresh - UNLESS I eat something oily, like salad dressing, or greasy for lunch. It's usually still on around 8 or 9 at night. When I go to take my makeup off, the color on the inside of my lips has faded, but I can see the color around the edges.
If I have an evening meeting, which is frequent, I will refresh in the car before.
During the pandemic and our "parking lot" services, my mask was on and off when I was speaking. It didn't budge, and more important, it didn't come off on my mask!
I also have luck with Chanel, but the colors are limited. DD has a lot of luck with Maybelline, but I don't. ![]()

@beach-mom - I have never heard of Lipsense? Where have I been? Going to Google them.
