that is exactly the area that I have done. I am 67 and have been getting the injections for about 7-8 years. I used to only use one syringe about once a year but now I need to,get a fill about every 6 months.

I've had juvederm injections twice. Minimal swelling and virtually no bruising. The first time I went in to see what could be done for the vertical lip lines. I was 68 at that time. I was very satisfied with the results. About a year later, I decided to have the nose to mouth lines filled as well as the lip lines. I don't think I would do the nose to mouth lines again. Or, at least not at the same time. It changed my appearance. Hard to explain, but I didn't care for it. Everything's gone down now, so I'm unsure if I will do anything more. My Dr. used shots for numbing and they really, really hurt. The nose to mouth line shots was very painful. More than the lip numbing shots. I might add that I have a high threshold of pain. Don't mean to frighten anyone. I guess it's kind of like having a baby. As soon as you're all done you forget about the pain. Beautiful baby, beautiful lips. Kiss

I feel very sad for those women that feel they need to maim themselves for the sake of vanity.

I've had fillers injected for the last 5 years or so and I've not had much swelling, but have had bruising. My doctor gives me an ice pack before I leave and that seems to help with any swelling. Sometimes I get a bruise; other times not. I think there's a bit of lidocaine already mixed in with the filler so I've never had any sort of numbing cream beforehand. For me there's really no pain at all.

I would never NOT get fillers. they're magic.

Magic indeed !!

Be sure to NOT use any aspirin or aspirin products for 3-5 days before procedure. You need your platelets to work..this will minimize bruising.

And ""ID2"" fillers are NOT maiming (especially if used judiciously)...just more effective that all of the lotions and potions folks spend hundreds of dollars on.

Well, women differ as to what age they feel they could benefit from dermal fillers. In my case, I started getting them at 55, and I will be 64 next week.

The interesting thing is that the benefits tend to be cumulative, and I find I can go longer and longer between treatments. I have an appointment for tomorrow to get more Juvederm, mostly in the nasal/labial folds and just under the lower corners of the lips. My last injections were January of last year, and I'm only just now feeling like I need more. When I first started, I was doing them every six to eight months.

I've had many injections with different products. My issues are with bruising because that's just me. Not too much swelling. You'll be fine. You will also love the results, I'm sure. Trouble is, once you love it, you will keep going back! When I have extra money, I'm the first one at my docs office...{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I love fillers. I've taken meticulous care of my skin, no sun, religious use of SPF, prescription Retin A, other peptides, etc. But time is time and gravity is gravity.

I made a YouTube video on it. I don't get money for clicks before everyone gets up in arms. I'm a small potato.

LuluCCS thank you for the video, it's really well done I learned a lot! And, your results are terrific!! I'm wondering how the results have held up for you, and also in what city/state you had the procedure. The cost for fillers in NYC is a lot [A LOT] e.g. a friend of mine had filler placed in her under-eye area and the total cost was $1300 {#emotions_dlg.scared}
