Just wondering.. why am I being charged tax before any discounts applied ?

Just wondering why they charge you tax ( sephora ) before the discount is applied?

Just wondering anyone else notice this ? BUT IF I go though discover card to get the five percent cash back they apply that AFTER the discounted price.. annoying!

Its only 15.99 tax but I still dont want to pay it {#emotions_dlg.mad}

I dont really need any of this stuff IM ordering,.. But I want it LOL !
