Last time I went to the hair salon was in early March 2020.   I'm getting rather accomplished cutting my own hair.

Short and shaggy with lots of texture spray ... lookng pretty good!

(until no more masks in the salon .... I'm doing-it-myself.)

Good for you!  I have shortish shaggy hair too and for that reason find I can't cut it myself.  I can cut my bangs and that's it.  Too many layers cut at too many angles.

Me too! - I spend the $$$$ we save on Steaks and Haagen-Dazs ice cream (LOL)

I don't go only for the hair cut, I go to take one hour out of my time and just sit back and relax.

A nice shampoo, conditioner worked into my scalp and warm water rushing over my head, oh it feels so good.

Nothing is going on in the world, just a great experience with someone that knows what they are doing.

Hair cut............whole experience OK

but then the blow dry and styling...true magic.  A pint of ice cream can't replace this hour, I'll still go to the salon.

I have been cutting my hair since covid,still learning ,but figure to have done my goldens for years,why not do my own.

Yeah, if I can do the little Yorkie, who wiggles and squirms, I can surely do my own, too!

(Which I've been forced to do!)

But I'd rather go to a good stylist!

How short did you make your hair? How did you do the back? About how many inches is your bottom layer, and about how many inches is your top layer?

Also, what kind of texture spray do you use?
