Got the Emjoi TSV, but I was a little nervous. Started with lower legs. My hair is coarse and wavy and as Lisa puts it, my legs feel as prickly as pipe-cleaners. I cannot stand it and must shave at least every other day.

First I bathed the area in warm water for 5 minutes to loosen the follicles and exfoliated. Then away we went... Kept the skin taut, it was a pinchy feeling, not horrible, and you build up a tolerance. I have had tons of electrolysis- which is a magnitude more painful (IMO). I did get a lot of the hairs-YAY!! I read to finish with a toner to close the follicles (I am very prone to ingrown hairs) . Still a lot of hair there, so Ill go back in a day or 2 for more, but they feel so much smoother- So far, I am very pleased !! Should have done it years ago!!!

Good Luck exfoliator-girls and please share any tips or tricks! Thanks, =)

Electrolysis! Epilating should be a piece of cake! I had the laser hair removal, which hurt like a motha', but still had some grow back. Hair growth is 8 weeks, I believe, so the hair will eventually get thinner & thinner. Still amazes me, though....I permanently removed, epilate & occasional shave....and I STILL look down & behold! On the back of my calf, a hair that's about an inch long! Good holy, how did I miss that for all this time??! Weird.
