Sorry to hear that and I hope you get well soon. The flu is miserable.

My story is the exact opposite, though. I had a cold and a sinus infection recently and I used the tea tree and sweet almond mint oils to rub into my temples, forehead, and cheek bones because the eucalyptus and mint worked like a mild Vicks VapoRub to sooth and help. I couldn't get enough of them and used them several times a day and before bed.

I am so happy the oils helped you to deal with your illness. I HATE sinus infections. They are pretty miserable themselves.

Another great use for TT oil is insect bites. I had w!cked mosquito bites during the summer and a quick internet search told me plain old tea tree oil would alleviate my itching but I only had Wen TT oil so I gave it a shot. It was a MIRACLE!

Yes, having a smell associated with a bad event is awful!

I have a bad, sad, childhood memory associated with gardenias, and to this day can't bear to be around them - makes me violently ill.

Feel better soon.

KitchenFairy, thanks for the heads up about the Tea Tree on mosquito bites! I live in an area where we get a lot of West Nile Virus cases, so I always use a mosquito repellent when I'm outside, but last summer a mosquito got in my house and bit me three times before I was able to do away with it. I'll make note of this tip for next time!

I can imagine. I have had the worst cold now for over a week and can't imagine wearing that scent or any all night. Hope you are better!

Kitchen Fairy, thanks for this tip. I get a red mark the size of a nickel when a mosquito bites me. It looks awful. Since I've got both TT oil as well as the TT CC, the next time I get bit I'll try them out.
