@JudyL & others with concealer issues

I wanted to share what I learned from a Pretty over 50 YT vid. It was a eureka moment this morning when I tried this concealer trick and it worked!!
Let me first say that I have lots of colors of concealer correctors and lots of colors of concealers and brands. I have Bobby Brown correctors and I have Dollar tree correctors. No matter what I used in whatever combination in a few hours it would look like I didn't have any concealer under my eyes. It would just fade and look terrible. And since I have to be on the go for 10 to 12 hours a day, at the end of that time all of my concealer would settle into crescents under my eyes and then dry there. You can see the dried concealer exactly where it had settled and just dried there under my eyes and in the corners. All I'd be able to do would be to add a little moisturizer drop to my fingers and pad under my eyes to moisten it and make it look hydrated. Most of the time I'm nowhere near home to reapply concealer and it just looks awful. So this morning I did all my usual prep, waited of the usual amount of time, and concealed my under eye as usual. Today I used a Bobby Brown corrector with L'Oreal radiant concealer over that.
So the trick is to take a drop of setting spray on the back of your hand and touch your finger in that setting spray and dab it all under your eye over your concealer. Let me tell you this works. And it makes your under eye look smooth and your concealer will stay and not crease after that. After that you have to put your powder over it. I have never been able to wear powder under my eyes. If I just use a little over my concealer, my concealer still settles in the lines and it looks like I have not said it. If I use a little more powder to set it thinking that that is not enough, it makes it look cakey. I could just never get it right.
But this trick with a setting spray works. I put on my makeup at 9:00 a.m. this morning in my concealer still looks the same. It has not faded , settled , or dried out.
I was hesitant to try this trick because setting spray over my foundation makes my skin feel super dry.....I already have to hydrate my skin. So I was just a little afraid of what this would look/feel like.

I think this trick is going to really help me do my makeup faster in the morning and not be so anxious looking in the mirror during the day and not liking my dark circles!!😁

@Midmod  - Thank you so much for posting!  You have the same issues with undereyes, concealers, correctors that I do.  Will definitely try this the next time I put on concealer.

I've been struggling with this same issue for probably at least 3 years. And to think all I had to do was this?! Arghh

@Midmod  - Wayne Goss also has a video and he uses setting spray too.  Why didn't we think of this before?

I'm new to YT! I'm not a social network person so I'm always behind. I only actively look if I'm at the end of my rope.
Next it's eyeliner........
I never would have thunk it. What's in setting spray to make under eye skin smooth? I've checked my eyes a few minutes ago.... it's really a breakthrough for me 😁

@Midmod  - I just went and tried this out.  On one eye I did it and added a bit of powder, on the other eye I did it but no powder.  Will see which one I like better.  Will let you know!

Re: @JudyL & others with concealer issues

Thank you so much for that tip. I absolutely need concealer every day. It's a must-have. Mine creases as well. I was looking for a tip to keep it in place. Great tip!
