For those of you that have used the jars of body butter with pumps, how did they work out for you?
I know it is more sanitary than fingers in the jar, however, do the pumps clog at all? What happens when you get to the last inch or so in the jar where the pump tube doesn't reach? Do you then have to remove the lid every time you use it, thereby removing the sanitary aspect?
Inquiring minds would like to know.

@Love orchids I've not had success with Josie's body butter pumps. First time I tried I broke it trying to unlock and start the pump and on the next try it pumped maybe twice and that was that. I finally gave up. Really wish they gave us an option. Good luck to you.

@Spacrazy thanks for your reply. That is what I suspected. Wonder why she would manufacture with the pump. I would think it would be more expensive than just the plain lid. I don't plan on ordering.

@Love orchids No pump I have ever encountered would be able to empty its container to the bottom, but by the time I get to that stage, I use my fingers.
If someone in the house isn't a compulsive handwasher like me, I would decant that final amount into smaller clean containers, one for me and one for the other person.
I pretty much do just that even for just me so I have butter available for lots of rooms instead of the one where the big container fits. My stainless steel flatware came with a dozen butter knives; I've never once used any for its intended purpose, but it sure does make using up product to much closer to the bottom. I have no counter space for the big containers - I used that butter knife lots of times successfully.
I like Josie's body butter than any of the drug store products I've tried.

you can find very inexpensive disposable makeup spatulas on amazon.....200 for under $8.
if you dont want the disposable kinds, you can find affordable reusable silicone ones or metal ones that can be washed in the dishwasher, including the spatty and the spatty daddy.

Another good way to reach jar Cosmetics is using those plastic Ice Cream Sample Spoons,, offered in Ice Cream shops. Or the old woodspoons offered with some little cups of Ice Cream.
They work as a perfect size for me.
And easily keep sanitary,, each time

I am probably in the minority here, but I suspected she started making this available so that we couldn't see the missing product.
I like many others starting seeing huge holes in the tub of body butter. It was disheartening and it was getting worse with newer orders. At least that's my experience.

Never thought of that @Coastalcarolina. 🙂Interesting...this is one of the reasons why I stopped purchasing as well; you can only account for so much "settling" when there's a hole the size of a small lemon in the jar. Just based on my experience.

That's a great point @Coastalcarolina and @sugar plum . Now that you mention it, I remember reading all the complaints about the lack of product in those containers. Then they overfill those tubs for the tv presentation. I'm sure it was disappointing to receive the product and find the container 3/4's full.
