Re: Josie Maran will no longer be on QVC on air

I enjoy her products and am sad to see her go.  Sad that I expect we won't see those supersize sales anymore, and the argan won't be the same.

The pandemic did a number on many of us, apparently including Josie and her business.  I would guess based on the argan sourcing issues and her exclusive deal with Sephora that she just can't produce the quantities that QVC wants to put people on air.  She still has a few products on inventory, that may be all there is.  I think she will only be selling on her website and Sephora, as long as it makes sense for them.

QVC was a big deal to her.  She has (or had) a home in Pennsylvania, I think to be close to QVC studios, and she was married there in 2018 (wedding photo below).  For the pandemic, she was caught in France visiting her stepson who lives there, and managed to travel to St Barts (French island in the Caribbean) and spent the pandemic in her home there and in California (LA area).  I read her husband built studios in both homes so she could continue doing her qvc appearances from there.  Sounds like a big investment just to walk away from.  I think she was done with modeling and acting and had been devoting her energies to her business.

Cosmetic companies are not being bought anymore as they used to.  China was a big market for beauty products and the economy there is in bad shape, and sales of beauty products in China are way down (lots of people in China).  So no one is acquiring cosmetic companies.  Many celebrities had been hoping to sell.  I have never heard Josie express that interest, but I don't know.  She was very invested in the relaunch.

Josie is married.  I found a picture from her wedding day in 2018.

Her Wedding Beauty Look

Josie has 2 daughters from a previous relationship, currently 12 and 18 yo, and her husband has 2 children from a previous relationship, so I think those are the 4 children in the above photo.

Her daughters are in LA and her husband has a son in Paris (who finished high school in 2020, which is why they were there when the pandemic hit) and a daughter in NY, who like all the girls in the photo, appear younger than the son.  Don't know who is who, except for Josie and her husband.

I wish her well.

So sad to hear Josie Maran will no longer be on QVC. Her concealer and face butter are the only products that don't make me break out and I've tried many. I get lots of compliments on how beautiful my skin is and no one believes i am 70 years old. I love the new dream cream and just ordered the peppermint bark. Guess I'll have to stock up.  You will be missed Josie and thank you for your excellent products.

I'll continue to buy some of her products wherever I can find them.

I'm the same. The Milk is one of the few things I can use as a moisturizer that doesn't make me break out (I'm 57 but still have to worry about this.). I love her body butter too.  It is good for me and absolutely amazing when I use it on my mother's skin.

I will be saving my supersize containers and refilling!

@Roni18 I like her body butter too unscented. Hope to continue to find it somewhere.
