Re: Josie Maran in the studio

I can't say I would "stop" buying a product because the vendor is not in the studio. However, to me, it makes it appear they aren't as dedicated to their product or just think they are too good to have to make the trip. Many vendors live far away but when they have a TSV, they are usually in studio.

I am not a fan of JM by any means, I've tried most all of her products and feel they are very overpriced and similar items can be found elsewhere. However, she appears to me as being self absorbed and feels no need to fly to PA. Her sales seem to be good enough that she probably doesn't need to make the trip and she can live in her little tropical world. Nice life.

I think having people use skyp and such is the future... no need for people to fly... it is dangerous both the aspect of flying and getting sick doing so.... and time consuming when everything can be done via long distance. How an that make a difference?  They say the same thing on camera in studio or not.  Makes no difference to me at all.

I do not care if a vendor is in studio or not. But I do care about seeing live shots of all options offered, be it clothes, makeup, shoes, etc. I don't want the item just shown from online image, show it to me live, in- studio so I can get a better idea of color, etc.

Re: Josie Maran in the studio

Who care, it provides work/life balance and if it works, why not?

What I dislike is when they have 3 host talking about one product PLUS have a Vender onsite or remote, really do not need two or three host talking about one product. I really perfer on host.

Seems like Courtney always has a side kick, just let her go on her own..

Of course this is just my opinon.

@SandGirl   I'm in full agreement.  ONE host is enough for me.  I don't need all the personal chatter between two hosts...  less time focusing on the product,  more time for a lot of filler.  Not interested in filler!

Doesn't matter to me if it's Skype or in studio.  I know they say she used to have a farm in PA.  Seems like she is now mostly remote from the tropics?

It certainly wouldn't stop me from buying a vendors products.

Re: Josie Maran in the studio

Sometimes I prefer having the vendor off-site. I figure it will keep the prices down! Sometimes the clothes colors look different in the vendor's home versus the too-bright studio lights, which I find helpful. The only thing that bothers me about Skype is the audio quality. Josie needs a better microphone because the sound quality is very poor in her home. Other vendors have better microphones.

It may be cost effective for QVC not to bring them into the studio. Who pays for the air fare and motel or hotel rooms, QVC or the vendor?

Vendors pay their own expenses.
