Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation

Has anyone else tried the new Josie Maran Vibrancy argan oil foundation? I got a sample from Sephora that included all the shades. I tried the fair today and it looks great and really natural. I've been using Urban Decay .5 and Bareminerals original mineral foundation in fair. I do like how it makes my skin feel, but you do need to shake it up before applying because the argan oil separates from the pigments some.

My next test is to try Kat Von D's Lock-it foundation.

Re: Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation

I didn't care for it JAXSMOM as I found it to be anything BUT natural - quite mask like although I do not like a full coverage foundation.  There is no way to sheer this one out in my opinion.  But it does sound like you like it, so enjoy.  You're probably correct about the separation factor.  Even samples need to be shaken if the lubrosity of the product is such.

I just wasn't feeling this one, but glad it seems to fit you!

I'm really interested in this one, but I've got some I need to use up before I can justify even trying out a new one. This one is definitely the next on my list to check out.

I felt that way about the Too Faced Born this Way foundation I bought - I prefer a sheer to medium coverage and that was much more than I wanted. But I've found I can sheer just about anything out by mixing some of my moisturizer in.

I don't like to wear Born this Way on its own, but mixed with my moisturizer and a drop of luminous primer, I've really liked it.

This doesn't feel like heavy full coverage to me. More like medium coverage.  But since it was just a sample, I ended up squeezing a little out and dotting it on my face and then blending with my usual foundation brush. My usual method would have been to pump it out on my hand and then dip the brush and apply, so it may have seemed heavier that way.

Re: Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation

Being a Josie Gal I really hate to say this but I do not like it. It reminds me a little of the "IT"  foundation. It covers like a mask. Very heavy.I looked 100 yrs old and every wrinkle and pore showed

I prefer the first one she had that comes out white and changes to your own natural color.

I cancelled my a/d of this product.

Re: Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation

Josie Marans matchmaker serum foundation has been my go to for years-vibrancy was a no brainer for me-ordered it off her site when it first launched. wanted to love it-assumed i would love it-didn't love it. Settled in my fine lines-looked awful. Tried it a few more times with different application techniques-no luck. Returned my first JM item (not counting that awful selftanning mousse you used in the shower-remember that???) Felt bad, but i couldn't get it to work for me Smiley Sad Want to try the juice beauty next...

I got the sample, as well. I don't have oily skin (dry, actually), but this almost seemed to separate and float on my face. It was so bizarre!

Re: Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation

I thought it was OK, but it did not feel quite as nice on my face as Laura Mercier's Smooth Fluid.  Having said that, I do want to send a smooch to Josie for making at least five shades which are suitable for women whose skintones fall into the dark to deepest category.  Fearless (light golden brown) was fine for me, but I'm always pleased when a brand includes a deep espresso shade in their foundation range.

Re: Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation

I like it!  You can make it heavy, light or medium.  I do one pump (really only need about a half pump) on my hand and use my IT brush and then swirl it off on the other part of my hand until there is just a little on the brush and then apply.   If you dip the brush and go straight to applying on the face, it does go on heavy.  I ordered from Josie's site as there were more shades to pick from.  I am between fair and light.  QVC's fair is too light and their light is to dark.  She has several shades between these two on her site.  you do have to shake well first.
