Josie Body Butter not being full

I bought the giant body butter due. I opened and unsealed both jars to see if they were full. One was only 2/3 full. I had an empty body butter jar the same size. One my food scale I weighed the jar and then the jar with product in it subtracting the weight of the jar. The brand new jar only weighed 12.8 ozs. And I double checked it. Now I know it’s not the product settling. The jar was not 13.5.

According to the label, it's sold by volume, not weight. You should be measuring it, not weighing it. It's 13.5 fl. oz., not 13.5 oz.

Thank you. That makes it a bit harder to determine why 2 jars are filled to different levels.

@Bellini13

Take a measuring cup. Fill (as closely as you can) with 13.5 fl. oz. of water. Pour the water into an empty body butter jar. That's how high the body butter should be in a new jar.

You never know. You might find that the other jar has more than the stated amount of product in it.
