She sounds hyper and acts like she invented the wheel. We all know by now that she has rosacea & why repeat that demo?? P.S. I'm just offering my opinion so don't bother hating on me! I don't need to defend my opinions to anyone.
I won't dispute anyone's established opinion of a vendor or their products, but in this case I feel the need to clarify something. QVC and the vendors are well aware that many customers watch many hours of QVC programming per week therefore those people have seen the demonstrations such as Jamie's and heard the stories such as Josie Maran's dozens of times. However this is all about sales, therefore for the benefit of those who just might be seeing Jamie on air for the first time the demos and stories must be told. If you're familiar with an inside philosophy of people who perform live it's something about giving it your all for every performance because there's someone in the house who is seeing the show for the first time.

This isn't a comment specific to Beautty. I've read that phrase "don't hate on me" here on this forum in other threads.
I never heard that phrase growing up in NE PA, going to grad school in Syracuse or teaching and living in So Jersey and on the Main Line outside of Philly.
Can anyone tell me about its origins? Ordinarily one would omit the "on" and say "Don't hate me."
It's the English teacher in me. Linguistics is interesting to me. TIA ![]()

I don't know the origins of the term "hate on me", but have heard it used regularly and never thought of it as bad grammar so much, but more of a slang term.
I just started using It cosmetics since receiving the recent TSV kit, and so far I am really loving the products! Jamie seems very sweet and genuine, although you never really know someone by watching them on TV.

Jamie seems nice and always so well put-together! I would never buy her products because so many are made in China and Korea. I just don't trust their mfg. standards there and stay far away from food and products I would put on my face or consume.

"Hate on me" is used by those that want to voice an opinion and not get hateful backlash because of it. For instance, the poster said that she does not like the "It" cosmetics lady for various reasons and I respect her opinion BUT there are posters that will come in and be snarky and chastise her.
The "Hate on me" poster responders are vicious.

I rarely watch makeup presentations but I agree; Jamie is very nice. I enjoy her.

Most vendors have their quirks, no need to single Jamie out. Jamie says something is really special. Chaz says WEN performance is insane. Josie does that sultry "mmmm" as she rubs the oil on herself. The Philosophy ladies have some descriptions that are "out there". Mally shouts and can be off color at times. And so on.....

Exactly! Not everyone watches the shows all the time. Even long-time QVC viewers may not have necessarily watched, say, a Josie Maran show and then one day decide to watch one and they hear her story and decide to try it. I know when I first started watching the beauty shows, it was interesting (and entertaining at times, lol) to hear about how the ideas came about and see the demos (even if I didn't believe half of them, lol).
But this doesn't mean I don't get tried of the same stories and demos, I just understand why they do them over and over. So now what I like to do is record the beauty shows and fast forward through all the stuff I've seen ad nauseam. It is soooo much nicer that way, lol!
