JVN HAIR PRODUCTS, MY REVIEW...

I used the volumizing shampoo, and hydrating conditioner, last, the leave in spray conditioner.

I'm very pleased with each product.  I was able to comb out my hair with no tangles.  I also used the spray conditioner ,but I wanted too see if I could comb my hair without it, which I was able, then sprayed some conditioner.  That was an added help, maybe adds some shine too.  I didn't blow out my hair either, and it looks good...I have a natural wave that sometimes can look a bit frizzy, but it looks pretty good.  Next time I'll blow out for a smoother look and more fullness.  My is very fine.

The shampoo has a mild fragrance,  the conditioner is much stronger fragranced, I'd describe as a unisex scent,  woodsy.  I don't mind it.

They sent lots of samples and a free silk pillow case.  I thought was nice.

Customer service is great...they responded quickly to an email about my order shipping.

I'm wondering if the silk pillowcase needs special laundering care...cold/hot, dryer ok??   Will it shrink?  No instructions on that.

Glad I tried this, appreciate the previous posts about it...I never heard of this line before.

Re: JVN HAIR PRODUCTS, MY REVIEW...

@Dazlin   I guess you've read I've used JVN exclusively for 6-8 months...fine, silver and curly/wavy hair. If you like to not blow dry your waves, try the Air Dry Cream in a beige tube. It doesn't way down my fine hair and has some hold, too. I think it even encouges my curls since I scrunch it in with my hands and let air dry.

Re: JVN HAIR PRODUCTS, MY REVIEW...

@Shanus @Dazlin + all:

Thanks for this thread, I was unaware of JVN.

I have received such useful suggestions from @Shanus that I immediately researched the JVN shampoo/conditioner, reviews.

The JVN web is fabulous!

I have white hair, wavy, thick, tending to dry/coarse.

Gave up on the natural Meg Ryan messy (use your curls!) look, because it always looked like it needed a professional to get the Meg thing.

So, after a lifetime of longer hair, I'm now in a bob with thick bangs, which needs to be smooth (zen) for the look I want.

JVN seems like a match.

Ordered the Nurture Hydrating shampoo & conditioner, plus the SHINE DROPS (tons of reviews).

If you have any dryness on your scalp, I recommend his Pre-Wash Scalp Oil.

Nutrient-dense, skincare-for-hair ingredients make Pre-Wash Scalp Oil a powerful weekly, pre-shampoo treatment. Formulated with Hemisqualane to promote stronger, longer, healthier-looking hair and botanicals like Rosemary Extract, Turmeric Extract and Bisabolol to gently remove build-up and relieve itchy, flaky skin - it leaves your scalp the healthiest environment for your most optimal hair health and growth.

I have been using JVN since the summer.  If you are going to blow out your hair, you may also want to try one of his heat protectants.  Up until recently I used the Instant Recovery Serum which has the consistency of a lotion. I really like it.  I am now trying the Blowout Styling Milk.  Don't have an opinon yet on this one but it is really thick like an ointment.  I have only needed to use one pump for my past my shoulders length hair.

@Shanus ...I usually like to blow out my hair for more style and volume...if I'm staying home, I'd like to keep it easy and let my natural curls go.  I'll surely look into the air dry cream too 🙂  TY !

Yes I've read you like the line, I've replied to you ....

Any suggestions about the silk pillow case?   What's best for laundering,  hot water, cold?  Dryer, or air dry?

Re: JVN HAIR PRODUCTS, MY REVIEW...

@lkat  . Thank you!!   I'll look into that, I always have  a sort of  rash, itchy scalp.  Someone here suggested Derma E scalp relief....so I was going to order that.  I currently use, Scalpicin extra strength with cortisone...I have  an on going issue with rashes that sometimes affects my scalp too with horrible itching.

@1Professor ...please let me know what you see from the shine drops.  Some said,  they haven't seen much difference.   I'm already using the leave in spray conditioner , so im waiting on ordering another product.
