Italian Soda Trio

I thought the italian soda 3n1s were the creamy formula. Now the 16oz set is a gel formula? Did anyone buy the gift set? I'm just trying to decide if I should purchase the gel trio. I know the gels haven't gotten the best reviews in the past. Most prefer the creamy formula.
