We don't want no gas, regardless of how noble it is, on our faces. Evar. :-)

Are you sure you're not a school teacher,lol? I actually spell checked and corrected a receipt from our car salesman, in the dealership.

Haha...as a matter of fact, I taught grammar, punctuation, word usage, vocabulary, and spelling to court reporters studying for our state's very rigorous exam. Loved my job.

But I hope you and all notice that I never correct an individual poster. Oh, wait, that's not true. I have on occasion pointed out errors in a post in which the person was correcting or pointing out errors in others' posts. I figure that they deserve the same treatment. :-)

I appreciate proper spelling and grammar. What I noticed is the cute pup in your avatar. @suzyQ3

@skyblue, that cute pup is our ten-year-old Cody, who is mistaken all the time for a young pup. She's probably a mix of Rhodesian ridgeback and Lab, but she's not talking. :-)

She is one amazing dog -- smart as as a whip, very loving, but also protective. Our grandchildren call her Madame Cody.

Thanks for noticing her.

Re: It's ArgAn oil

@suzyQ3

I don't think I'm a guilty party with the misspelling of argon, um argan... but anything is possible with me.  I know what you mean about certain words that you hate to see constantly misspelled.

When it comes to poor grammar, I throw my hands up.  It drives me batty.

BTW, that was a lame joke.  I know it's an A not an O.  Arrrrrgan Oil!

It's Argan oil. Not argon. Argon is a gas. Argan is the correct spelling.

I was about to post about this. And then saw it had already been discussed. So I figured it would be better to avoid duplicating a thread.

I see this mix up so often. And yes I realize that there are much worse issues in the world. This little glitch just keeps catching my eye in this forum. Not a biggie. Woman Wink

I was surprised at the correct pronunciation:

Argan = ‘r-gun’

Listened to several presentations...even Josie doesn’t

pronounce it this way. Funny how ‘incorrect’ perpetuates.
