I also use most of my foundation this way. BUT before I do, I use a flat foundation brush to spread across my face before I press in with a damp sponge. The only issue I have is that I don't get the full coverage I want. I don't like to build up coverage after that first layer; even with Bare Minerals good hydration primer first, that second layer can show texture.
