Re: It Cosmetics snail slime is correct

Snail slime has been used in cosmetics for years, however if you look into the dermatological effect this has on the skin it is very beneficial. There are thousands of ingredients they use in cosmetics that the general public is just not aware of. If it helps your skin why not use it? It is just the thought of it that I think bothers people. I read the latest findings on this and very high end cosmetics use it as well as dermatologists use products with this in it. If it works, I personally would not care what is in it!! lol.

Just to comment on placenta issue....as a nurse, I have seen people ask for their placenta to take home....it's not as rare as one might think. However, those I have seen take home and bury it, then plant a tree...some kind of ritual regarding the new life, think its more symbolic.....but, some other cultures do eat it......but they have been for thousands of years. It's not my thing, but I'm sure other cultures probably look at all the plastic surgery in America and think we do crazy things too.....just a thought.... Smiley Happy

NOW I KNOW WHY MEN ROLL THEIR EYES AT WOMEN.......THEY CAN'T STICK TO THE SUBJECT. WHAT DOES PLACENTA OR COWS MILK (THAT I DO NOT DRINK) HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT I PUT ON MY LARGEST ORGAN TO BE ABSORBED? I FIND THE LACK OF TRANSPARENCY BY THE COMPANY ALARMING AND THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW......APPARENTLY I WAS INCORRECT. I, FOR ONE, AM TIRED OF BEING TOLD HOW PURE A PRODUCT IS WHILE THEY SERVE ME SNAIL SLIME AND TAKE MY MONEY!

Re: It Cosmetics snail slime is correct

Just to speak of how snail slime and other practices ( drinking milk , placenta...) are done in other cultures.......but really if you think about it, isn't snail slime pure and natural??,,,it comes from nature, it's not a chemical, makes the snail feel good......really seems pretty good to me ...the only one who loses is the snail.... Smiley Wink By the way, with all the men in the world, I bet snails and cows everywhere are rolling their eyes and turning on a sports channel!

Your use of the word pure DOES seem incorrect. Snail slime may be 100% pure snail slime. Very natural. Organic. From free-ranging snails. Maybe you should be happy you didn't buy snake oil. Better check the label again. Never mind! It's in the trash!

Then I think you need to make the effort to become an 'ingredient detective' and research the ingredients in a product before purchasing it. Yes, this takes more effort than just listening to a presentation on TV in your easy chair but any search engine like Google makes this process easy and quick.

I took a look at the ingredient list for the IT CC cream and snail secretion filtrate is clearly listed as the second ingredient of the Inactive Ingredients. I don't see a 'lack of transparency' for this product regarding snail slime.

Stop being lazy and believing everything a vendor says about a product, research the product yourself and decide whether it is a good product to incorporate into your life. Then you won't feel that you've been take advantage of.

From the wiki page on placentophagy:

Although the placenta is revered in many cultures, there is scarce evidence that any customarily eat the placenta after the newborn's birth.[4]

Do you really need to have the last word on EVERYTHING? My gosh! I think the women here are perfectly capable of looking things up for themselves, and may come to a different conclusion. Furthermore, wikepedia is hardly a good resource. High school teachers and college professors will not accept it as a source on research papers.

It was a comparison. I don't understand the need to now scold posters and describe women as deserving of derision by men. That's quite a stretch. Sweet Susie is spot on. Read the ingredient decks. Learn about ingredients. Not really much to learn here anyway. It's clearly listed high in the deck. Also, if you're technical about it, it is "natural". I see no attempt to deceive by the vendor.
