It's the only IT product I don't like. Didn't seem to work the way it was supposed. I love the regular mascara.

I have had things like this in my cart that seem to be the perfect answer, but have learned the hard way to see if there are reviews and to read them before ordering. I have saved myself a lot of grief this way.
Also, wait for reviews before ordering something new like this (I got it when there were no reviews yet); it's better to wait and see what others report before ordering and having to return.
I like that this mascara gets every lash, but it is very minimal, I do need a regular mascara over it. I can't get it to stick to lower lashes at all or show up after several applications, and gave up on that after trying many times. And to replace liner? No way.

I think the name tightliner is a bit of a misnomer for this product.
It doesn't really put down a defined "line". The goal is to wiggle it at the base of the lash to darken that area. The tiny brush makes this possible. You are transferring a little bit of the product on the skin at the base of your lashes which is the concept of tightlining.
I like the product for it's primer properties. I get a noticeable boost in length and volume when I use it, but if I'm looking for a defined line, I add liner.

well, since I have it and won't be able to get to Ulta for quite some time, maybe I'll try it as a mascara primer, maybe I'll like it for that...it's worth a try.
Thanks for your input.

I totally agree. I also can get it on the 'water line' when I wiggle it at the base of my lashes...is that what they call your skin under and above your lashes? It does give me fill in and added lining 'look'...but I am all about liner so I always use another liner.
I also agree about the primer usage. I use it first...as it does define every little lash. My next coat is always a different mascara to give me more length and fullness.
I can live without it, but use it a lot.

I never got good results with this product. I never got the tight line look of wearing eyeliner like the models on qvc. I ended up using this product on my eyebrows to use it up

I LOVE this product and use it everyday and rarely use mascara. I also use the new Smashbox ''always sharp'' eye liners. (screw on the cap and it sharpens to a delicate point each time) ...but for everyday it is TightLine... I have had no issues with clumps except on the very tip, which I touch to a tissue before using. This removes the 'glob'.... Starting at the very base of the lashes which is often 'under' the lid where the top meets the lower...it does make a 'line' and does not require eyeliner...

I agree. A very good explanation!!! I love the product, but not for the liner effect as well!
