It Cosmetics Packaging Issue

I started using this line back in June or July when I received the TSV. I immediately fell in love with the Celebration foundation but it seemed to get used up awfully quickly. I was hesitant to re-order because of the cost, but recently used a 20% coupon at Ulta. The packaging looks identical but this new one seems to be lasting a lot longer than the one I got with the TSV. It seems like they are always touting how these TSV kits include "FULL SIZE", but maybe I just assumed it was full size. So, I checked the size in the kit compared to the size I bought at Ulta, and it is the same. The TSV foundation did seem "lighter" and "fluffier", but, whatever.

The topic I actually wanted to address is the way the compacts are designed. After the TSV kit, I wanted to try a OTO eye shadow compact and I have the same issue with both the foundation and the eye shadow compacts. They seem to be very hard to open. Both compacts have a top that opens (for the actual product) and a bottom that opens (to hold the applicator/sponge/brush). It seems that the applicators included in this bottom portion are cheap at best and I wonder why they even bother with the extra cost of designing a two-way compact which holds a throwaway applicator that probably nobody uses anyway. I wish the It cosmetics compacts just opened one way and they didn't bother with the bottom half, which for some reason invariably opens a WHOLE lot easier than the top - go figure, LOL!

Re: It Cosmetics Packaging Issue

I have had a problem with the compact hinge breaking. I love the Celebration Foundation and use it everyday. But the last two compacts I bought have broken at the hinge point. I have to use a rubber band to keep the lid on if I take the compact with me. Very annoying! I think it is related to the double lid design. I haven't had trouble with any of her other traditional compacts.
