Re: It Cosmetics Moisturizer Contains Lavender

Also, many baby care products contain lavender, and little boys are not supposed to use them, they can be estrogen related, maybe just a rumor, but I dont let my little grandson use any of these.

Re: It Cosmetics Moisturizer Contains Lavender

Here are some of the oils, highlighted in red.  Don't think they are all offending ones, but I think orange and grapefruit are in the irritating category.  They are way at the end of the ingredient list, but if you are allergic, it doesn't matter where they are in the ingredient deck.

I got a sample also and absolutely LOVE it.  Why, if she is working with plastic surgeons, and I would think derms or chemists, would she put those in there???!!!  They should know better.  They give no benefit to the skin as far as wrinkles and hydration go.  It takes away from what would otherwise be a really good cream.  Maybe for "natural" fragrance reasons?  I still might order some, I like it so much.

Sorry, but I don't understand your connecting lavender and estrogen .... what is your source?

I dont have just one source to report, but I have read over the years not to bathe little boys in bath products that contain lavender or use lavender lotions on them, they can have an estrogen effect on them and contribute to development of breast tissue. I cant document, just know I have read it over the years. You can feel free to do your own research on it. It may not even be true, but since I have a little grandson, I would much rather be safe than sorry.

Re: It Cosmetics Moisturizer Contains Lavender

I do not subscribe to the "all natural" set.  However, there is just no good reason to promote slathering on that crazy combo of cheap skin feel ingredients in he top,of the deck combined with potentially irritating extracts and essential oils.  The extracts will be so low in percentage as to be useless as a skin benefit.  Labeling purposes only.  I just don't see anything good about this product.

Re: It Cosmetics Moisturizer Contains Lavender

I LOVE the smell of Lavender and I use Young Living lavender frequently.

I don't like lavender in cosmetics and I'll bet it's not high quality.

Re: It Cosmetics Moisturizer Contains Lavender

I am fine. I was sick for a few days and discovered I wasnt wheezing at all and made the connnection. I had been taking showers quickly and didnt use the lotion. Because all I wanted to do was get back in bed. All is great now. I will miss the Crabtree and Evelyn Lavender though. I loved the fragrance. Oh well....On to something new.

Thank you all.

Yep, there it is, thanks!  All I know is that my skin loves it, hydrating and smoothing for me, and with the offending ingredients in such a minute amount, and the price isn't bad for 2 oz, and even though it is in a jar, I may still get some!  How's that for a true skin care addict??!!!
