What can I say. It's a favorite word of mine. Very cathartic when I really need to blow off steam.  I respect myself. I'm not young.

I don't think use of this very old word is going to be the downfall of society. There are much more sinister things happening that worry me more than this.

The lipstick name garners attention and that's what it was meant to do

if that one word determined the downfall of society, it would have happened years ago. Smiley Wink

Cute?  Clever?  Just plain crude.  I guess I was always fortunate enough to work in environments where everyone was expected to speak professionally.  Didn’t know how lucky I was.

My thought is profanity has become just another "acceptable" way to use the English language, which is sad.  It goes to show you how degenerate society has become.  There are plenty of adjectives in the English language to describe something, but those with a lack of capacity for our language resort to profanity because it's all they know.  Total lack of class.

@SurferWife, I completely agree with you.  Whatever adults say in private without children around is one thing.  But whenever it is used in a public setting, it conveys a very upsetting trend to me.  It is the philosophy that “I will do and say anything I want.  If you have a problem with it, it is YOUR problem.”  And if anyone grew up not learning what language was socially acceptable - well, as an adult you can listen and learn.  You don’t have to be a genius to figure this out.  Class in behavior has nothing to do with money, education, or social position.  It has everything to do with respect, for yourself and for others.

Wise words @PamfromCT!  You actually said it better than I.

@RedRedHair    It is the culture of todays youth/ younger generation who use this word and worse like drinking water..... it is just in their vocabulary... go on Face Book and see the trash and filthy things people say there.  It is only shocking to those who never use that language.

it isnt JUST the younger generation and it is not anything new.

i work around a lot of men and they use the word daily......multiple times.

i dont use that language but i will say it no longer shocks me.

You're right.  It's not just the younger generation.  I actually know more older people with "potty mouths" than younger.

There are far too many generalizations on these forums.

Has NOTHING to do with being a prude.  It's about respecting yourself and others.  And  having some class.

@Qshopper1991 You said it perfectly! I'm no prude, but I dislike hearing it in a normal conversation. SO unnecessary! What's the purpose using it?

Of course I was curious, so I googled it. It is a really deep red, and it is 60.00. I wouldn't pay that for a lipstick no matter what you call it, but the name doesn't really bother me.

At $60, it should be called F**king Farcical.

I wonder if any of the retailers would choose not to sell this particular shade due to the name?

Seems immature. It's as if Tom Ford cosmetics marketing wants to irritate people in order to seem more exclusive. I got over that attitude back in high school.
