I have tried her spackle several times over the years, it just isn't for me. I do not like the way it makes my skin feel.

I loved Lauras Tinted Mattifying Spackle but she dscontinued it, huge mistake. I dont use any of the others.

It seems like your getting poster's opinions on the product not the difference so here goes what I know about those two products by Laura Geller. I've used both.

Primer is used to make your foundation stay on your face and last longer. Whereas, her spackle formula blurs and minimizes the look of pores and fine lines.

@We rescue cats , I agree. I want to like it but it's just too sticky for me. I've actually been disappointed with all of her products recently. There isn't much product in her compacts. I noticed my last bronze and brighten wasn't covering anything then realized I had already reached the bottom of the compact. I do wear makeup every day but the TSV compact only lasted a couple of months. Not acceptable for me. The last one I had lasted forever.

Yes, Spackle is primer. Supposedly Laura Geller was the first to come up with the primer concept, but who knows if that's true? Over the years she has made more options (blurring, hydrating, champagne glow, rosy glow, bronzing, etc.), but at the heart of all of them is to prime the face for foundation.
