I just used my SHP CC for the first time tonight and I'm in love with it. It's so incredibly moisturizing. I use fig and BGT, but this felt very different to me. I know that honey is supposed to be a good humectant. I want to add honey to everything now!! Has anyone added honey to the other formulas or used it as a solo treatment?

I think the honey has a lot to do with it. I have not used anything before with honey. It is not something I would gravitate to, for instance I never tried Burt's Bees. But I agree with you it is amazingly moisturizing and with my favourite scent peach, heavenly.

Do those products actually have honey? I thought it was just a catchy name.

Honey is unique in so many ways, it is antibacterial for one. I have never tried it on my hair, but I heard that it will lighten hair. So I wouldn't try it on colored hair or maybe not hair you didn't want lighter. I will try it tomorrow because I actually want my hair a little lighter and have lots of natural honey. I know I the hive it came from quite well (I am the beekeeper) and know for a fact that no chemicals, hormones or antibiotics went into that hive. I'll totally saturate my hair in honey, leave it in for an hour and then cleanse as usual and let you know what happens.

Not much if at all and they are not honey products I would recommend. I know people who make facial cream with bees wax and olive oil at home that are better! Mine never comes out right though.

You made me wonder. I guess the story is they started out with beeswax candles and then beeswax lip balm and then exploded to other things. Took a quick glance at their website.

Sounds like a sticky mess. {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

I suspect the honey is a key to the shine and maybe even helps seal in some moisture? Whatever it does , I am loving it !! I think it was said maybe maple was the shine magic in FAS which I loved too. I didn't get the shine as much in the WCM or SOB.

I am loving the SHP, it works wonders for both my daughter and myself, even though we have completely different hair types. Suebdoo, you may be right about the FAS/maple connection. I got great results with FAS, similar to SHP, but could not get past the scent. It wasn't worth the great hair days to tolerate the FAS scent. I love the scent in SHP, it reminds me of Marc Jacobs fragrance, Honey, which I really like. It is a fruity floral that is also great for summer. I'm really sad that SHP is a seasonal and will be gone after summer. I would love to see it become a core cc. Best seasonal ever!

When I first went natural, I was very gung-ho about making my own deep conditions. I used everything "they" said was good for hair, including honey.

The avocado fibers that were impossible to get out of my hair for 3 weeks overrode any benefit I got from honey, oils or coconut milk.

I quickly ran back to Pantene.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.
