You say, "I see that many people say WEN works great for them, maybe it does...."

Really? Maybe it does?

Ok, I see that you say that Nick Chaves works great for you, what I don't understand is why you keep saying that here.

Oh, wait, I see, never mind. Wink

I found my "magic formula" relatively soon after beginning to use WEN, TT & Fig - they give me reliably great results. The only time I experience issues is when I'm incorporating too much of the 613 or seasonals into my routine (probably due to the protein).

Mostly, I like to come to the forums and read about new WEN products and to pick up styling tips - things I would do on any beauty board for any beauty product, really.

Not every WEN product works for me (and that's OK), but I don't waste too much time trying to "make" anything work. I accept it and move on. I hope you take some of the other posters' advice about exploring the core formulas, so that you may find a CC that can give you consistently good results without all the guess work.

Good Luck!

Maybe I missing something, but what's so complicated? I put it on my hair, run a wide toothed comb through my hair, leave it sit for a few minutes and rinse it out. No different than any other shampoo/conditioner. Yes, I've gone through a few different formulas to find the right for me, but it wasn't a big deal. They all work well, some just better than others. I think some newbies may be a little apprehensive about not using something that lathers to wash your hair, but other than that it's no different than trying any other line of hair products.

I loved Pumpkin, Vanilla Mint, Apple Spice.

The POM made my hair flat & listless. So then I tried Aloe Cucumber - bad. Honey Peach - OK. Orange Blossom - terrible.

I asked if seasonals like Pumpkin will return and was told I was SELFISH and Chaz is a genius at experimenting & doesn't want to repeat himself.

I came here for assistance - I do like WEN - and got insulted.

I see many posters asking questions and trying MANY products - always looking for the perfect one.

I guess I will take the advice of many serious WENNers and go back to Aveda when I run out of product.

It sounds like Wen isn't for you. I have been using Wen for about a year and really like the results but have recently purchased the trial sizes so that I could try more products that I hadn't tried yet. The only formula that I really disliked was the fall apple spice and gave it to a friend. Some of the formulas worked better than others but overall I am very happy with Wen and can't imagine using anything else. I especially love the oils that I never used before Wen.

I don't know, I think we REVEL in the complication because it makes our hair ....special!

You know how it is: "I have to do my first wash in Tea Tree, then follow up with Pomegranate, but not when the moon is void of course, because then I just frizz up so I have to use Fig and followed by BGT but NOT when it's a month that ends in "R" {#emotions_dlg.devil2}

I keep reading how people leave wen in the hair for hours or even days. You should not have to do that to have good hair

putting oil on your head and sleeping with it all night sort of freaks me out

How long do you leave the oil on?

I gather some people sleep with the oil in their hair. What fascinates me is reading about all the different formulations people have tried. Some have worked well. Others not so much. What do people do with all the left over product from things that didn't work for them? WEN is a very expensive product and you have to use a lot of it according to the instructions so if one formula isn't right do you return it partially used? I can't imagine keeping a expensive product like that if it didn't work.

Hello. I really wasn't trying to start anything. I was just using what I use as an example. I really wasn't trying to get the OP to stop using WEN and start using the Nick Chavez brand. I can't say if WEN really does work because I haven't used it. If it works for some people, that's great. But I don't think it's a good idea for people to try to force something to work for them if it doesn't and WEN doesn't work for everyone. Just trying to help the OP like some of the other posters.

Anyway, hope the OP finds something good to clean her hair with. Smile

Are you talking about the CC or the oils.. or what? I've used Fig overnight with great results.

I've honestly never read anyone keeping the CC in for days without washing it out. It's hard to know what you're talking about.

I don't think anyone feels you have to leave in Wen excessively for days on end to have good hair. That statement makes little sense.

Wen is simple.. not rocket science.
